In the wake of the national economy has been developing continuous,people’s demand for urban transportation is increasing.The development of urban traffic meets the conditions of people’s travel,traffic slowly into families.With all the incomplete data,the speed of road construction is far from the trend of vehicle growth,making the urban congestion heavy and traffic efficiency is not high[1].Now the road traffic management mode based on the traffic lights at the fixed time,traffic management personnel in the long time of the summary,the appropriate traffic rules of the road,but because traffic intersections have been transformed,traffic lights with the fixed time control method cannot get ideal effect of vehicles[2].There are great differences in road traffic.Therefore,the development of intelligent transportation is the trend of the times.The intelligent traffic light control system can reduce the urban traffic pressure and improve the traffic efficiency.This paper aims at the problem that the timing of traffic lights is relatively constant and affects the quality of road driving.A real-time traffic light control system based on FPGA for real-time traffic lights is proposed.Based on polling system model,the system combines polling system with intelligent traffic light control system,and finally carries out simulation design in FPGA.The first phase contrast threshold and the symmetry of the polling system with exhaustive service polling,choose the most suitable model of traffic light system,this paper selected threshold service polling system,the traffic detector will be detected by the vehicle arrival rate data,using the symmetrical threshold service polling system theory,through the Matlab simulation the arrival rate of the average waiting time the corresponding.Then,based on the traffic conditions,based on the symmetry of the gated service polling system,put forward the asymmetric polling system with gated service theory,and the mean waiting time to the corresponding rate according to the theory of the detected by Matlab simulation of the vehicle.The polling system with intelligent traffic light control system combined with the average waiting time in the polling system in the traffic control system in the green light time length,and according to the traffic rules to calculate the corresponding red light time,red and green light time data will be obtained in the FPGA to achieve the intelligent real-time read,and finally the traffic light control system in the FPGA.From the simulation results,we can know that the use of FPGA design can realize the intelligent control of traffic lights,and improve the vehicle driving rate.The intelligent traffic light control system will be applied to the existing city infrastructure based on must has the advantages of strong operability,low cost,portability,convenient installation,suitable for different complicated traffic roads,these properties of FPGA have completely,so it has very strong development and implementation the.
