In order to heal this chronic disease, what we need to do first is to understand the reason and mechanism of the cause of the congestion, meanwhile, make an in-depth analysis on its propagation. Based on this purpose, and after referring to some existing static and dynamic models on traffic networks, in this paper, we put forward a new urban traffic networks traffic-flow dynamic model based on the self-adaptive traffic-flow dynamic transferring random matrix. Using this model, we can analyze, study and forecast the cause and propagation of traffic congestion caused by the fluxion of traffic-flow, furthermore, we partition the traffic networks into several congestion-areas, and analyze the relationship and interaction between different areas. In this paper, we, firstly, put forward a new definition on roadway congestion level; secondly, we bring forward the conception on traffic-flow dynamic transferring random matrix by which we can get the output flux from current road to its downstream roads; thirdly, in this paper, we carry on the control to traffic-flow within the traffic networks from the angle of combination between macroscopic and microscopic, this will more accurately accord with the reality of urban traffic networks; fourthly, we analyze the dynamic propagation of the congestion from the angle of cascade process; finally, we analyze the congestion-areas in the whole networks, in order to find the relationship and interactions between different areas. At the same time, we carry out the computer simulation with C++ programming language and objected-oriented programming technology, so we could get the detailed traffic-flow information of every single road, and forecast the traffic flux. This could accurately reflect all the information about the traffic networks, and help us make effective analysis.Through the analysis on the cause and propagation of the congestion in urban traffic networks, we initially explored the essence of the cause of traffic congestion, and the way and mechanism of its propagation. Based on this, we can provide traffic networks topology layout and enactment of road-related parameter with some reference, and hopefully we could provide some theoretical basis for solving traffic congestion and improve the carrying capacity of urban traffic networks.
