In this study,an object-oriented method was used to extract the urban forest pattern of Guangzhou Higher Education Mega Center(HEMC)from a Google high-solution image.The supply pattern of urban forest ecosystem service like energy conservation and emission reduction,purifying the air,carbon-oxygen balance,stormwater capture,were evaluated based on i-Tree model and field investigation.In additon,this study analyzed the demand pattern of ecosystem service by using a demographics.A evenness index was also constructed to estimate the equity of urban forest distribution.Last of all,evenness index and Gini index were used to evaluate the equity of urban forest ecosystem service of Guangzhou HEMC in both community and area scales.The main conclusions are as follows:(1)In Guangzhou HEMC,total area of urban forest is 755.013 ha,which is42.87% of the total study area,contains attached forest(AF),road forest(RF),landscape forest(LF)and ecological and welfare forest(EF).AF is the main urban forest class in the study area,which accounting for 39.36% of the total area of urban forest.And the percentage of RF,EF and LF are follows as 27.76%,24.39% and8.49%.(2)Distribution of Urban forest in study area is fragmentary,which landscape has a high heterogeneity.Urban forest was seriously disturbed by human activity.Artificial planning and maintenance will influence the process of urban forest development.In addition,all class of urban forest present homogeneity in both spacial configuration and structure.(3)With a reasonable and stable species structure,health of the streets tree are in a good condition.But most of them are still in a growing stage.Tree species composition,growth status and health status are closely related to the ability to provide ecosystem services.(4)The high value area of the service supply of various ecosystem services of urban forest appears in the center of the study area and the southeast region,and the low-value area appears in the periphery and the northern region of central ring.Thestructure of ecosystem service supply is relatively reasonable,and the overall situation is relatively good,but there are significant differences in the supply situation between various functions.The ecosystem service supply capacity of urban forest is closely related to the type of urban forest and the structure of tree species.The strength of the human to the interference of tree species,the botanical garden afforestation department set up and maintenance will supply of urban forest ecosystem services have a profound impact on the formation and development of the pattern.(5)The demand for ecosystem services in the research area is mainly from the residents and students in the residential communities,and the residential community includes three categories of higher education institutions,villages and residential areas.The students in colleges and universities are the main groups that constitute the demand of ecosystem services.There is a close relationship between population density and distribution of demand patterns and the higher population density is the higher demand for ecosystem services of urban forest.(6)The area of relatively fair level is 79.34% of the total area,and the urban forest distribution pattern is relatively fair in the whole,but there are still big differences between the residential communities.Especially in areas with dense population and large demand,the distribution of urban forest is often in short supply.(7)In the research area,there is a common phenomenon that the service of the urban forest ecosystem services is not fair,but is still in a relatively fair scope on the whole.According to the classification standard of gini coefficient,the urban forest ecosystem service is still in a relatively average level among different communities.However,it is close to the critical value of classification,which requires the relevant departments to pay more attention to their fairness in the construction and management of urban forest in the future.
