Children is the hope of development of nation and country,and they are the source of power for social advancement as well,With continuous abundance of people's material and cultural life,and with unceasing improvement of PCDI(per creature disposable income),and accompany with announcement of National two-child policy,more children would be born in future.House using area will be expanded based on family members' income increase,a great number of families will consider practical condition about children room when buying a department,such as distribution of children room space,decoration style,structure function and others,then make the room can be satisfied for children to grow up.At the same time,family space is the major activity environment for per-school children,their most abilities of speaking,writing,working and living habit should be exercised and cultivated in family space,articles those be used by children in daily life need a store space,all of these situations make children room become more important in modern family living space than before.However,the current condition of department is design and decoration of children room are based on parents' demands or room models,instead of taking children own preference.In this situation,children room will never be used by children expediently,and the working life of the room will be shorten.What's worse,it is harmful for children to living a bedroom with a bad design.Therefore,design and decoration of children room activity space become one of the most step of department decoration.This paper sets activity space of urban children room as a research key point,scientific methods such as documents analysis,investigations analysis and statistics analysis are used into whole research process.First,to analyze characters and behavior changes of children each growing stage based on Children Psychology and Physiology,then to summarize relevant principles of children room design,all of these are the foundations of deep research about activity space in children room.Second,in order to offer scientific and practical data for creating children room which can be well used by children themselves,the paper is to research interaction size of activity space and children furniture according to Ergonomics,Chinese Juveniles Body Size,Children Furniture Universal Terms,and other relevant theories.Third,to make social investigation to get data information of children demands about living space and their favorite decoration style through online and outline investigating.And then to summarize practical preferences and demands of children room by data statistics and analysis software,these data could be a correct basis for subsequent children design.Last,to do a children design practice based on conclusions,and to show the achievement of this paper with design practice,as well as checking scientificity and veracity of conclusion,so that to provide practical and theoretical value to people for subsequent children room design.
