As an important part of the operation and maintenance phase of the bridge structure, bridge inspection plays an indispensable role in the analysis and assessment of the bearing capacity of the bridge structure.Regular bridge inspection can be reliable decision-making basis for bridge maintenance and repair, and can effectively mitigate accident caused by bridge structure damage. However, there are many shortcomings in the traditional bridge inspection, for example:1)The way to record damage information is not standardized 2)The inspection information is abstract and independent, and the information expression is not intuitive and comprehensive.2)The input and storage of inspection information are not synchronized.3)At present, the inspection results are displayed in a form of 2D documents,it's impossible to visually represent the bridge damage location and the spatial distribution of sensors in the bridge structure.4)Inspection report is long and tedious, the information is fragmented and the technical indicators cannot be systematically recognized 5)Inspection information in time history of the same bridge is poorly correlated and cannot provide trend analysis and judgment for bearing capacity change and damage development. In this study, the bridge BIM model is used as a platform combined with database to integrate the relevant information of the whole process of bridge inspection in the BIM model, providing a new set of information management and evaluation solutions for bridge inspection, aiming to rectify some of the traditional bridge inspection drawbacks. The main research work is as follows:(1)The research builds a bridge BIM model based on BIM core modeling software Revit, and prepares an interface program for automatic conversion of BIM model to finite element model to provide a finite element analysis platform for bridge inspection.(2)The research developed a BIM-based bridge inspection information management system based on BIM core modeling software Revit and SQL server database. It can solve the problem of non-standard information input during the traditional bridge inspection process, ensure the standardization and accuracy of the data of damage information, and provide a reliable data foundation for bridge assessment based on danmage information. The three-dimensional visual simulation of loading test, loading information, sensor layout, and inspection information are integrated in the BIM model of the bridge, which enables intuitive understanding of the loading conditions and a comprehensive view of all aspects of the static load test.Database-based information management can make sure information input and storage are completed synchronously, and the ability to query and modify data in a timely manner can avoid information distortion caused by the secondary migration of bridge inspection information.(3)The research developed a BIM-based intelligent bridge assessment system based on BIM core modeling software Revit and sql Server database. The rating and technical condition scores of the bridge is calculated automatically by the program and can be viewed from both spatial and temporal dimensions. In the time dimension, the information recorded by historical inspections can be shared to assess the development of bridge damages and the change of bearing capacity during the interval of inspection. At the same time, the input platform for maintenance suggestions of structural components is also provided. In the space dimension, damage components and damage information are integrated in the BIM model;loading conditions, loading data and inspection information are also integrated in the BIM model, and the assessment results are presented in the form of charts.
