With the development of the social economy,the progress of science and technology,the development of the medical level,the life span of the people is growing longer and longer.The proportion of the elderly population in the total population will become higher and higher,which becomes a major problem in the world.Since China entered an aging society in 1999,the level of aging has continued to increase,and according to the forecast of the official statistics bureau,China will face a more severe problem of population aging after 2035.As building industry is closely related to the daily life of the elderly,how to make the elderly safe and comfortable in their old age has become a hot topic of concern.A good and suitable external space environment is particularly important because it encourages the elderly to go out to do physical exercises which is beneficial to their physical and mental health.In this case,how to create an external space environment that is really suitable for the outdoor activities of the elderly,improve the active initiative of the elderly and improve the quality of life,is a very important topic at present.But for the present,the external space environment created for the elderly is very limited.Therefore,this in-depth study is conducted on the issue.Through visit and analysis of the comprehensive old-age community designed for the elderly in the representative cities of the south,this paper finds out the existing problems of these communities.From the perspective of the physiological,psychological and behavioral needs of the elderly in the south,this paper also summarizes the outer space ring of the elderly community as well as the design principles,design strategies and specific design methods of the environment based on the relevant theoretical research at home and abroad.Hopefully,it will play a positive role in the design of the outer space of the old age community and the reasonable transformation of the old community's outer space.This article is divided into six chapters: the first chapter expounds the background of the study,the purpose of the study,the significance of the study,the research methods and so on,and defines the object and the related content of the research;the second chapter analyzes and summarizes the existing deficiencies by investigating and studying the existing pension communities in the south;the third chapter is to the present domestic… The fourth chapter studies the physiological,psychological and behavioral characteristics of the elderly and needs of them in the southern region through combination of theory and research and sums up their basic needs.In the fifth chapter,on the basis of the existing deficiencies of pension communities,the unique climate conditions,the natural features and the characteristics and needs of the elderly in the south,the design principles and design strategies are condensed,and the sixth chapter is based on the principle and strategy of the big direction from three aspects of outdoor space,traffic space and landscape space.Finally,based on the above research,we summarize the design method of the outer space environment suitable for the aged in the southern area.In this paper,a detailed and comprehensive research on the old-age community is carried out,the real pictures are taken,some drawings are drawn and a large number of data are collected.From the characteristics and needs of the elderly in the south,the design method of the external space environment for the elderly community in the south is explored.The results of this study will help improve the quality of life of the elderly and promote the development of the space aging and human settlement construction in other parts of the country.
