The Managemental Improvement Activities which are developed by State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission(abbr.SASAC)of State Council is to accelerate the operations management change of central state-owned enterprise from extensive to intensive.With the guide of the State Grid,the State Grid Gansu Power Company(abbr.SGGPC)has creatively carried out the managemental improvement activities based on the Trichotomy perspective.This paper is about the study of this managemental practice in SGGPC.We choose the managemental practice in SGGPC as the typical example,on the basis of the the theories as the following:the value chain model,the ECRS of business process reengineering theory,PDCA cycle,fishbone diagram,the Trichotomy perspective,as well as the new analysis tools of mind map.At the same time,we integratedly use the different specific research methods such as literature analysis,in-depth interview,questionnaire method,graphical method and mathematical statistics analysis,and so on.We primarily focus on analyzing the practice of the managemental improvement activities of SGGPC based on Trichotomy perspective,seeking to provide a long-term mechanism to promote the overall operations management level of SGGPC,namely:the design and implementation of the managemental improvement strategy based on the Trichotomy perspective.This paper is divided into six parts.The first part is the introduction to our study,we introduce the background,significance,objectives,contents of this study.The second is the theoretical basis of this study,including:the definition of Trichotomy,operations management value chain model,business process reengineering,as well as the relevant knowledge and methods such as PDCA cycle,fishbone diagrams,and mind maps.In the third part,we give a general description of SGGPC and a summary of its managemental improvement practice.The fourth part is the key part of this article,which mainly introduces the design and implementation of the managemental improvement strategies,based on the Trichotomy perspective of SGGPC.which includes basic design ideas and objectives,main contents,specific measures(ie.R&D and pilot application of the four diagnostic tools).In the fifth part,we provide the organizational,institutional,technological and ideological propaganda safeguards for the better implement of managemental improvement strategies based on the Trichotomy perspective in SGGPC.Finally,we draw the conclusions and give some suggestions for SGGPC to better its managemental improvement practice.We believe that this study can benefit for the SGGPC and other central enterprises to carry out more in-depth managemental improvement activities,and it may be valuable and useful for other power companies to continuously upgrade the level of operational management.
