The Evolution Process Of Architecture Intelligent Generative Design Method

Architectural intelligent generative design method is originated from the 1960 s.This is a kind of computer aided design methods which adopt computer intelligent technologies to assist architects to complete a specific architectural design tasks.This design method can make use of computer ’s powerful logical opertaion to generate architectural alternative solutions rapidly and optimize spatial layout,which has a broad application prospects.However,the domestic basic research of this method,less than ten years,is still very weak,resulting in domestic cognitive system of this method is incomplete and prospects of research and application are grim.In order to compensate for the current deficiencies in basic research of domestic architectural intelligent generative design method and promote the development of follow-up,this paper trying to perfect the cognitive system through the research of the evolutionary process of architectural intelligent generative design method.This paper can be divided into three parts: the first part,for the theoretical basis aspect,describes three main design paradigms briefly and,for the technical level,analyzes the three crucial technical components with algorithm,model systems and programming platform.Based on the foreign pioneer universities,which is in the leading position on architectural intelligent generative design method,the second part demonstrates the evolutionary process of architectural intelligent generative design method in detail,which is divided into two period:The first is embryonic development which regards American pioneer universities as the leaders and takes”Shape grammars”,”Automatic layout generation”and”Expert system”as the main research contents.The second is heritage promotional period which regards European pioneer universities as the leaders and takes”Case-Based Reasoning”and”Multi-Agent System”as the main research contents.The third part of this paper comprehensively sorts out the entire evolutionary process of architectural intelligent generative design method,and explains the differences of branches in detail,and analyzes of the development tendency and the evaluation of the future,firstly.And then,this part discusses the acceleration of the related technologies of architectural intelligent generative design method to the disciplinary development and practical application.In the end,according to the inadequacy of the domestic research,this part makes some suggestions to the domestic related research development in the future by learning from foreign experience.Finally,this paper considered how to make use of foreign experience in technologies of architectural intelligent generative design method to increase the efficiency of architectural design,reduce the design cost and optimize the design scheme,how to improve the dilemmas such as damage of traditional features,pollution of ecological environment and the waste of resources in urban construction,to realize the social value of architectural intelligent generative design method.
