The Research On Application Of Xiangxi Miao’s Cross-stitch In Modern Women’s Wear Design

The Miao People’s Cross-Stitch in Xiangxi,an ancient and unique traditional handicraft,is the important means of decoration in Miao costumes,and it represents the spirit of the Miao women’s culture.Miao’s Cross-Stitch is a cultural carrier of the Miao People’s interpretation of all things,including recording the national history and life.With the development of the Chinese intangible culture heritage protection programs,Xiangxi Miao’s Cross-Stitch was collected in the lists of third batch of national intangible cultural heritage in 2011.The author have an interview with the inheritors of Miao’s Cross-Stitch several times,through field investigation to visit and investigate Xiangxi State Museums,Miao’s Cross-Stitch Museums and other place,combining the literature review,analysing research and describing and charting pattern and form,needle and color of Miao’s Cross-Stitch,summarize the characteristic.Researches with the major,to designed a series of modern women’s clothing by adding Miao’s Cross-Stitch elements.and aims to provides some new method for the research of inheritatance and protection,development of Miao’s Cross-Stitch.The thesis consists of six parts.First part explains the origin of this topic which analyzes the Miao’s Cross-Stitch research background and the situation in China and abroad.To establishs the research purpose and significance,method.Clarify the innovations in research.In second part the author states the history outline of Miao’s Cross-Stitch.It states Xiangxi geographical background and national history,the development and cultural connotations of Miao’s Cross-Stitch crafts.The third part illustrates Xiangxi Miao’s Cross-Stitch artistic features.Analyzes the pattern subjects,form and color.The forth part Explained the craft of Xiangxi Miao’s Cross-Stitch.Analyze the stitch,processes and material.The fifth part through compares the cases of the successful application of Chinese traditional embroidery in modern women’s wear design on the show,summarizes the principles and methods.The sixth part is the application practice of Xiangxi Miao’s Cross-Stitch.Through deconstruction and reorganization,re-design method,make its extraction elements applied to modern women’s wear design,To exploring more possiblity that can make them match with each other.Through this research,we can draw the followings,Xiangxi Miao’s Cross-Stitch can be combined with modern life,emerging with a new form and presented a new era charateristic.To explore the application rules and feasibility approach of Xiangxi Miao’s Cross-Stitch in modern women’s wear design.In the perspective of sustainable development,the author willhave a study and deep excavation,keep inheriting tradition,and make innovation,and make it Better protection and inheritance.
