After the implementation of the reform and opening up,Chinese economy entered a stage of rapid development,the establishment of a relatively sound industrial system,known as the "world factory." However,as Chinese economy changes from the original high growth rate to the "new normal" state of slower growth rate,the manufacturing industry,which occupies an important position in the economic structure,is also faced with the dilemma of low technical content of products and weakened advantages of low-cost production.Also said that China's manufacturing industry has the problem of "big but not strong".In addition,the extensive growth of the manufacturing industry with the growth as the core has a large energy consumption,and the serious problems of environmental pollution are gradually emerging,which make the development of the manufacturing industry in China lack of staying power.At the same time,the rapid development of modern information technology,the emergence of intelligent manufacturing,big data and other technologies also leads to the innovation of manufacturing production mode.Developed countries in Europe and America occupy the production link with high economic added value in the product production value chain with their own scientific and technological strength,while developing countries can only embed the production and assembly link in the value chain based on the lower production cost.Under the general trend that the profit source of manufacturing products is gradually shifting to both ends of the value chain,many manufacturing enterprises begin to change their development strategies to improve their own competitive advantages by increasing the input of service factors or increase the amount of service provided after the product is sold,this is also called servitization of intermediate inputs in manufacturing and service-oriented manufacturing output.The research topic of this paper is the service input of manufacturing industry,and it is considered that servitization of intermediate inputs in manufacturing,as the trend of the future development of manufacturing industry,can become a feasible way for the green transformation of manufacturing industry.This paper explores the influence of servitization of intermediate inputs in manufacturing on green transformation of manufacturing industry from two dimensions of theory and demonstration.In terms of theory,this paper sorted out the theories related to servitization of intermediate inputs in manufacturing and green transformation of manufacturing industry.The green transformation of manufacturing industry is divided into two aspects: economic effect and resource and environment effect,and then the mechanism of the economic effect and resource and environment effect of input servitization is expounded by using relevant theories of servitization of intermediate inputs in manufacturing.In terms of empirical study,this paper calculated the input servitization level of 17 manufacturing industries from 2000 to 2014 according to the input-output table in WIOD database,and analyzed the input servitization level of manufacturing industries from two aspects: the different manufacturing industries and the different types of service input.Secondly,carbon productivity and energy intensity of the manufacturing industry are calculated and analyzed by using relevant data of energy statistical yearbook and industrial yearbook.Carbon productivity represents the economic effect of green transformation,while energy intensity represents the resource and environmental effect of green transformation.Finally,the correlation analysis method of panel data is used for regression analysis.It is concluded that input servitization is beneficial to the improvement of carbon productivity and the reduction of energy intensity in manufacturing industry,which is reflected in both low and medium technology manufacturing industry and high technology manufacturing industry.In addition,it can be concluded that different service types have different impacts on carbon productivity and energy intensity.After theoretical and empirical analysis,this paper puts forward the following three Suggestions,hoping to provide some enlightenment for the future development of the manufacturing industry.The three suggestions are to promote the integrated development of manufacturing industry and producer services,increase the input of high-end service factors in manufacturing industry and formulate green standards for manufacturing products.
