Research On Urban Public Furniture Design In The Context Of Regional Culture

Based on the research on the design of urban public furniture in the context of regional culture,this paper investigates the current situation of the development of urban public furniture in the ancient city of Suzhou,and summarizes the methods of how to design urban furniture with local characteristics in view of various problems caused by the lack of regional culture in urban public furniture.This paper focuses on the necessity and integration of urban public furniture design in historical and cultural blocks from the regional,historical,cultural and sustainable aspects.Based on the relevant theories of Shantang historical and cultural blocks and urban public furniture,and through the field investigation of the current situation of public furniture in typical historical and cultural blocks at home and abroad,this paper analyzes the relationship and attribute classification between historical and cultural blocks and urban public furniture design.This paper finds out the problems caused by the lack of integration of regional culture in today’s urban furniture,and summarizes the design elements of public furniture in historical and cultural blocks and the design principles,methods and procedures that should be followed.Extract the regional symbols that can continue the historical context of Shantang street,and apply them to the design of urban public furniture.This topic is closely combined with the regional culture and facilities construction of the ancient city of Suzhou,and fully integrates the elements such as the shape,color and materials of the historical culture of Shantang Street into the urban public furniture and its regional landscape design.At the same time,the pre design analysis is carried out from the aspects of psychology,material science,color science and so on.Through systematic research.The specific design elements and methods of public furniture in urban historical and cultural blocks have certain guiding significance for construction of facilities in historical and cultural blocks,and can fully reflect the unique charm of Shantang street in the ancient city of Suzhou,as well as the unique urban appearance.
