The resource-based enterprises take forest,oil,mineral resources and other resources as the objects,process and reprocess them,and take the resource-based products as the main products.The resource-based enterprises are the important strategic supply basis of energy resources in China,and play an important role in the sustainable and healthy development of China’s economy.However,with the increasing exploitation of resources,the deterioration of natural environment and the disappearance of population dividend,the growth mode of resource-based enterprises in China,which consumes a lot of natural resources and cheap labor,is also unsustainable.Therefore,in this environment,how to transform and upgrade resource-based enterprises to adapt to the changes of the environment has become one of the focus issues of our national economy.On this basis,the 18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China put forward the innovation driven strategy,and China’s relevant enterprise policies began to enter the stage of relying on innovation to drive the transformation and upgrading of enterprises.Based on this background,this paper studies the specific path and performance of resource-based enterprises’ transformation and upgrading driven by innovation,which provides a reference for resource-based enterprises to choose the path of transformation and upgrading.This paper adopts case study method,selects Baiyin Nonferrous Group Co.,Ltd.(hereinafter referred to as “Baiyin Nonferrous Company”),a large-scale resource-based enterprise in Baiyin City,Gansu Province,as the case study object,and based on the micro industrial subject,studies the specific path and performance of resource-based enterprises in China’s transformation and upgrading driven by innovation.First of all,this paper analyzes the path and mechanism of innovation driven enterprise transformation and upgrading in theory by combing the relevant research of scholars at home and abroad,on the basis of life cycle theory,sustainable development theory,smile curve theory and other related theories of innovation driven and enterprise transformation and upgrading,drawing on the previous research results;then,combined with the official website of Baiyin Nonferrous Company and huge amount of money Information network and other relevant websites about the transformation and upgrading of Baiyin Nonferrous Company and relevant research results,in-depth research on the specific path of innovation driven transformation and upgrading of Baiyin Nonferrous Company,that is,which innovation path Baiyin Nonferrous Company achieves transformation and upgrading,and how these paths interact,so that Baiyin Nonferrous Company changes from a traditional resource-based enterprise to a new type of sustainable development enterprise This paper finds three main paths of transformation and upgrading of Baiyin Nonferrous Company: technological innovation path,market innovation path,and industrial chain innovation path.Then,based on the previous research results,combined with the characteristics of resource-based enterprise transformation and data availability,this paper evaluates the transformation and upgrading effect of Baiyin Nonferrous Company from financial performance,innovation performance first level indicators,profitability,operation capacity and other second level indicators.
