Combing is an important process for spinning yarns used for high-grade fabrics and special fabrics.However,due to the plenty of process parameters involved in the combing production process,and the parameter selection changes with the specifications of raw materials and yarn requirements,it is very difficult to select the combing production process.Therefore,using computer to simulate the combing process,according to the processed raw materials and the required yarn quality,to determine the accurate combing quality and other combing related process parameters,which can not only fully improve the efficiency,but also provide important importance for the realization of the virtual spinning process basis.Based on the previous analysis on the simulation of cylinder carding,the process of fiber separation and overlap is analyzed.In the process of simulation,the parameters of combing process such as feeding length,noil spacing and timing of forward rotation of separating roller are set.The weight distribution of separating clump,evenness of cotton web,joining rate,noil rate,short fiber rate in noil and short fiber rate in comber strip are determined as the inspection indexes of combing,and the calculation ethod of each inspection index in the computer program is given,which lays the foundation for compiling a complete combing programIn order to explore the influence of combing process parameters on combing effect,this paper changes the combing process parameters,compares the experimental measurement results with the simulation values,and verifies the simulation effect.The results show that with the increase of the feeding length,the fallen cotton rate decreases,the length of the separating bundle increases,the quality of the separating bundle increases,the joining rate of the cotton net is high,the multi-layer overlapping rate is high,and the joining fastness is large,but the increase of the feeding length will worsen the fragment unevenness of the cotton net;with the increase of the dropping spacing,the fallen cotton rate increases,the short fiber rate of the combed strip decreases,the joining rate of the cotton net is high,the multi-layer overlapping rate is large,and the joining fastness is large,but the increase of Large noil spacing will worsen the fragment unevenness of cotton web.Compared with the noil spacing,the effect of feeding length on the web joining rate is more significant.The forward rotation timing of the separation roller has no significant effect on the fallen cotton rate and the short fiber rate of the combed sliver.When the forward rotation timing of the separation roller is 15 divisions,the separation cluster length is the longest,the cotton web joining rate is large,the multi-layer overlapping rate is high,and the unevenness of the cotton web segment is the smallest.When the forward rotation timing of the separation roller is too early or too late,for example,when the forward rotation timing is 14.5 divisions or 16 divisions,the separation cluster length is short,and the cotton web joining rate is high.The rate is small,the multi-layer lamination rate is low,and the unevenness of cotton web segments is large.Based on the simulation of the combing process,the combing effect of the top comb is explored.Through the simulation calculation and experimental measurement of the top comb combing with different top comb density and insertion depth,the results show that under the condition that other process parameters remain unchanged,increasing the tooth density of the top comb or increasing the insertion depth of the top comb,the short fiber in the combs decreases,the drop rate increases,and the unevenness of the output cotton web decreases.Compared with top carding density,the effect of top carding insertion depth on the fallen cotton rate and the short fiber rate of combed sliver is more significant.
