As the "main force" of chemistry education in the future,pre-service chemistry teachers play a crucial role in the development of education reform.With the deepening of the reform of chemistry curriculum,pre-service chemistry teachers should grow rapidly in a short time to adapt to the new requirements of the new curriculum.The cultivation of pre-service teachers is the core requirement of the development of education,and the cultivation of teaching design ability is the most important part of the training of pre-service teachers.The purpose of this paper is to evaluate the current situation of teaching design ability of pre-service chemistry teachers,to find out their problems or shortcomings,and to put forward reasonable and feasible Suggestions.In this study,a teaching design ability evaluation scale is developed based on the theory of instructional design and operational procedures,the professional development of teachers,the theory of professional quality structure,and the international standards of teachers' instructional design ability.Then,the text of teaching design of pre-service chemistry teachers is evaluated by the scale,and their teaching design ability is analyzed.The results show that: first,preservice chemistry teachers have the highest average score in the dimension of design ability of teaching objectives,and their design ability of teaching objectives is relatively better.The lowest average score in the dimension of evaluation ability of instructional design indicates that the evaluation ability of instructional design is weak or even lacking.The design ability of teaching program and the design ability of teaching media are relatively weak.The analytical ability of learning content and the design ability of teaching strategy were slightly stronger.On the whole,the instructional design ability is at a low level,and the ability difference is significant.Second,pre-service chemistry teachers' heavy difficult to determine,the choice of teaching strategies and teaching strategy of using ability,teaching design,the choice of teaching media and teaching media utilization ability are relatively low,andthe homework design ability and the analysis and evaluation of teaching plan ability are at a low level,especially the analysis and evaluation of teaching plan ability;Thirdly,the pre-service chemistry teachers do not have a good overall understanding of the teaching design,and do not know the specific items that should be included in a complete teaching design.They often ignore the design of homework after class and the evaluation and reflection on the teaching program,and do not design the contents of these two parts.Based on the evaluation and analysis results of the research,and in combination with the interview with teachers,the paper puts forward some Suggestions on improving the teaching design ability of pre-service chemistry teachers.Study the course standard of chemistry and guide the design of chemistry teaching;Develop the life material,enhance the situation design ability;Strengthen the practice of chemistry teaching,pay attention to teaching reflection;Make full use of learning resources,establish the awareness of lifelong learning.Second,Suggestions for relevant training colleges and universities:colleges and universities should set up courses to improve the teaching design level of pre-service chemistry teachers;Targeted training to promote the balanced development of teaching design ability in all dimensions;Stable cooperation with practice base to implement education practice;Establish the practice examination system to ensure the effect of education practice.The third is the suggestion to the education and teaching research workers: the education and research workers can strengthen the research on the status and attribution of the pre-service chemistry teachers' teaching design ability;To accelerate the development of evaluation scale of teaching design ability of pre-service chemistry teachers;Research on strategies to improve the teaching design ability of pre-service chemistry teachers.
