The construction industry is one of the important material production sectors and pillar industries of China’s national economy,and it plays a vital role in developing the national economy and improving people’s livelihood.With the continuous growth of investment in national infrastructure construction,the total output value and the number of employees in the construction industry are continuously increasing.However,frequent safety accidents in construction projects have always been the biggest problem in the construction industry under the traditional safety management mode.The introduction of Building Information Modeling(BIM)technology has affected the construction industry in all-round and multi-dimensional way,promoting the comprehensive technical innovation of China’s construction industry.The application of BIM technology not only provides new technical means for the safety of project management,but also provides better protection for the life safety of the staff.Therefore,it is necessary to explore the safety management system of construction projects.Based on the analysis of the research status of BIM technology and construction engineering safety management at home and abroad through literature review as well as the practical investigation,this paper proposes to apply BIM technology to the safety management of construction projects to realize the information management of the safety of construction projects.In this paper,a BIM model for security management is set up by means of multi-software collaboration.And it discusses the changes brought by the introduction of BIM technology to the safety management of construction projects and constructs the system framework of BIM technology in the safety management of construction projects.Meanwhile,it tries to build up a safety management platform for construction projects based on BIM technology to realize the relevant functions.A series of safeguard measures are put forward,and the construction engineering safety management guarantee system based on BIM technology is constructed.This paper introduces BIM technology in the safety management of the project by taking a building construction project as an example.Based on the analysis of the application of BIM technology in the project decision-making stage,design stage,construction stage and operation stage,it constructs the safety management platform for construction projects based on BIM technology.With the System Dynamics as the theoretical basis,by using Vensim PLE software,it analyzes the cause-and-effect relationship between the elements of the construction engineering safety management system based on BIM technology,and finally constructs the guarantee system of the construction safety management based on BIM technology.The paper verifies the significance of the research on the safety management system of construction projects based on BIM technology,which provides a basis for construction enterprises to apply BIM technology to implement the safety management of projects with the following conclusions:(1)It is feasible to introduce BIM technology into the safety management of construction projects.Based on the analysis of practical cases,it is concluded that the unique advantages of BIM technology in the process of project safety management are superior to those under the traditional mode of safety management.(2)The safety management platform of construction based on BIM technology is an important means for all parties to achieve safety collaborative management.(3)The safety management guarantee system of construction based on BIM technology ensures the smooth operation of the management platform and the safety of the construction project.Together with the safety management platform,a complete safety system is formed,both of which are necessity.
