Research On The Application Of Ebru Art In Fashion Design

Ebru is a traditional art drawing on water surface,Its can be used in the design fields of packaging,textiles etc,with precious artistic and application value.As an ancient water painting technique,the origin of Ebru can be traced back to the Tang Dynasty in China.With the prosperity of the Silk Road,the technique was spread to Japan,Turkey and other places,but it has not been paid much attention to and not widely known in China.Indeed,it is one of the national cultures in urgent need of inheritance and promotion.This paper collects and sorts out relevant documentation data,introduces the Ebru techniques in detail,including the origin and development,the application of materials,drawing methods and artistic characteristics.It summarizes the technical characteristics of Ebru in different regions during the evolution process,and shows the creation and application of contemporary Ebru Art.On the basis of the theoretical research,this paper conducts experimental exploration on Ebru,discusses the influence on visual effects of the material preparation,drawing process and other links.It further analyzes some of the important affecting factors to Ebru,and systematically summarizes the drawing skills and pattern formation rules of it.This paper explores the feasibility of the combination of Ebru and fabric art,conducts experimental research on the surface coloring effect of Ebru.The coloring effect,soaping fastness and surface color difference of fabrics under different technique conditions are tested by using common fabrics and it also puts forward the measures to improve the fabric coloring quality of Ebru.On this basis,fabric design and application are carried out.Furthermore,based on the traditional extension dyeing technique,Ebru art is effectively combined with hand-painted creation and fabric reconstruction technique to enrich Ebru's creative methods and expressions.In addition,a method using the software function of simulation painting to recreate the Ebru is proposed in this paper.According to the artistic characteristics of Ebru and the function of design software,the random effect drawing,abstract and concrete modeling drawing as well as reconstructive design of Ebru are practised creatively.Provide a new way for the combination of Ebru art and modern technology.In this paper,the design practice of Ebru is carried out with clothing accessories as the application carrier.Based on the digital printing technology,Ebru pattern and clothing stylesare combined together.Meanwhile,innovative attempts are made to create various effects on the clothing parts and the overall visual effect of clothing can be enriched.The creative realization is carried out with direct dyeing methods in accessories design,which fully displays the unique artistic charm of Ebru and provides reference for its application in fashion design.
