It is a difficult but extremely important ability for designers to accurately understand the style described by consumers.Design,like other creative disciplines,has a lot of uncertainty because it contains too much irrational content.The method of perceptual engineering combines statistics,design,and psychology knowledge,which can reduce this qualitative,difficult to quantify,perceptual,and logically uncertain uncertainty to a certain extent,providing theory for the growth of designers support.And this may be the development direction of future design.This paper analyzes the design of marriage and jewelry based on the idea of perceptual engineering.First,a questionnaire is set up through the semantic difference method to quantify people's perception of jewelry,and then the correlation analysis and principal component analysis are used to study the relationship between different perceptual intentions.The results show that the perceptual intention of the ring can be explained by two factors: personality factor and simplified factor.On this basis,the contour lines of the sample are extracted,and the relationship between different combinations of lines and people's perceptual knowledge is continued.The results show that long and curvy lines will produce sensuous intentions such as cuteness,femininity,and leisure.Short and straight lines are related to mature and tough sensual intentions.Long and short straight lines will produce a mature and formal feeling.As a result,the relationship between ring style design elements and perceptual knowledge can be quantified and intuitively reflected.In the course of this study,qualitative research will be conducted through interviews and data collection methods to have a preliminary understanding of the ideas of post-90 s married people,and then collect jewelry pictures as research samples,establish a perceptual vocabulary,determine perceptual vocabulary Through the semantic difference method to quantify the style preference of jewelry,and refine the design elements of wedding jewelry.
