Research On Mongolian Wedding Dress

The Mongolian has a long history and splendid culture of more than 2000 years,among which the dressing art and marriage customs are the treasures in the folk custom and culture of ethnic minorities in China.Mongolian costumes are gorgeous and exquisitely made,forming a unique system of various tribes in the development of several centuries;Mongolian marriage custom is ancient and has great vitality,and is a living fossil of grassland culture.Two phase combination,the costume used by the Mongolian people in the wedding ceremony is the essence of Mongolian art.Its solemn and gorgeous characteristics are destined to be the epitome of Mongolian costume art in all parts of the country.However,at present,there is little research on the field of Mongolian wedding dress in the academic circle.There are only sporadic materials and a few descriptive studies.We also know how the wedding dress is formed from the daily dress,what is its origin with the local culture and customs,as well as the technological process of making wedding dress and the challenges in the inheritance and development of these skills Very limited.This topic first summarizes the previous research on Mongolian marriage customs and ethnic costumes.In this context,it focuses on the subdivision field of marriage costumes art,and chooses Baotou area,Inner Mongolia,which is still lack of research,and the author knows more about it as the starting point and the main research area.Through literature research and field research,it summarizes the marriage costumes in this area vertically The origin of the development of ornaments,the horizontal comparison with other Mongolian regions in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and other nomadic nationalities at home and abroad,shows that Baotou Mongolian wedding costumes and traditional Mongolian costume art are in the same line with the overall face of innovation.By searching historical data and communicating with craftsmen in tumete District,Baotou City,the author sums up the mainstream wedding dress making technology in Baotou,especially emphasizes the religious origin of patterns and the characteristics of material technology and loop making technology.Because of the author's art background,in this process,the research focus is on the decorative patterns and patterns on the popular wedding dress in Baotou area.In this paper,some sketches drawn in the field survey are also inserted to reflect the local reality.Finally,with the deepening of the research,the author deeply realized the new trend of the development of traditional wedding dress,that is,the new opportunities brought by the new generation of Mongolian People's pursuit of identity and return to traditional culture,as well as the challenges of industrialization,the universal use of automatic production and the loss of traditional production technology to the formation of the handmade art of wedding dress.In order to grasp the opportunities and meet the challenges,the author puts forward some suggestions on the protection,inheritance and publicity of the wedding dress and production technology in Baotou area.In a word,the above research is a summary of the work of predecessors,and also accumulates new first-hand materials through original research methods such as Chinese and foreign literature and field research,which makes a more in-depth analysis,slightly filling in the research deficiencies of the academic circle on Mongolian wedding costumes,especially in the tribe of tumete in Baotou area,in order to protect and inherit the rich and colorful Mongolian The art of wedding dress provides certain theoretical support.
