Fly ash is an industrial waste slag discharged by a thermal power plant in the production process.The structure used by the power plant to store fly ash is a ash storage yard(also known as ash storage).In order to prevent the dam body of the ash storage field from landslide and even cause dam break accident.This paper takes the North Ridge ash storage field of Huaneng Group Shangan Power Plant as the experimental research object.In this paper,the dry pile dam construction process,which is different from the traditional hydraulic fill dam construction,is systematically studied in terms of design content,flood control calculation,seepage field analysis,anti-slip stability analysis of the dam body and dam construction process.The main research contents are as follows:(1)This paper takes the North Ridge ash storage yard of Huaneng Group Shangan Power Plant as the engineering background.The basic situation of the ash storage yard,the design method of the ash storage yard and its ancillary facilities,and the status quo of the ash storage yard are summarized.The numerical simulation of seepage flow in ash storage yard and the theory of anti-sliding stability analysis of dam are introduced.(2)Geotechnical investigation of the ash storage field in the North Ridge,and the engineering geological and hydrogeological conditions of the ash yard area were obtained.According to the relevant specifications of the ash yard design and the topographic map of the reservoir area,the ash storage yard and its auxiliary flood discharge facilities are designed.According to the local hydrographic atlas,the flood calculation and flood control calculation of the ash storage site area is carried out to verify that the flood discharge system can meet the requirements of drainage design flood.(3)According to the topographic map of the ash storage field,the seepage calculation model of the dam body is constructed,and the seepage field of the ash storage field and the final elevation state under flood operation is numerically simulated.For the dam body of the ash storage yard,the necessity of numerical simulation of seepage flow is explained,and the necessary flood discharge system is proposed to cope with the adverse impact of the over-standard flood on the ash storage yard.(4)This paper couples the seepage stability of the ash field and the stability calculation of the dam.The stability of the dam body of the ash storage yard is verified by calculating the anti-sliding stability of the ash storage yard under the normal operation and flooding operation status of the ash storage yard.(5)Combining the construction of the northern ridge dry ash storage yard project,the dam construction process is discussed,and the corresponding construction points are summarized,which provides a successful reference for the construction of the dry dam body of the similar ash storage yard in the future power plant.
