Tailings storage,as a storage place for slag during mining and industrial slag in industrial production,is often characterized by large volume,high potential energy,and dense distribution of residents and facilities on the downstream side.Due to the lack of foresight in the early planning,the tailings storage is in the later production The phenomenon of higher capacity expansion is more common,and its own stability is particularly important.Therefore,starting from the reasons for the instability of the tailings pond,with the help of theoretical analysis and numerical simulation,research on the stability of the tailings pond is carried out.It has good reference value.This article is based on a red mud reservoir heightening and expansion project in Henan Province.The reasons for the cracks in the red mud reservoir,the stability calculation before the heightening and expansion,the design of the heightening and expansion scheme,the safety and stability calculation after the heightening and expansion,and the later operation A series of studies have been carried out on management and so on.The main results of this article are as follows:(1)Combined with the geological conditions and on-site survey of the red mud reservoir,it is analyzed that the main cause of the cracks in the red mud reservoir is the weak foundation of the accumulation dam.During the continuous rise of the accumulation dam,the center of gravity of the accumulation dam is continuously shifted to the reservoir area.Settlement and torsion caused cracks at both ends of the stacked dam body.Based on this reason,corresponding treatment measures were proposed..(2)Using a combination of finite element numerical calculations and theoretical calculations,a theoretical calculation,numerical calculation,and seepage analysis of the two-dimensional main profile before the expansion and expansion of the red mud reservoir were carried out to obtain the red mud reservoir.Evaluation of safety and stability before high expansion,that is,the overall stability of the dam body before the red mud reservoir is increased and expanded is safe and can be further increased and expanded.(3)Using multi-faceted analysis methods to analyze the storage capacity and classification of red mud reservoirs,the necessity of expansion,expansion plans,heightening plans,crack management measures,flood and tailings water management,facilities improvement and safety management,etc.A plan for increasing and expanding the red mud reservoir was obtained.(4)Using the finite element three-dimensional numerical calculation analysis method,the three-dimensional stability numerical calculation and seepage analysis of the red mud reservoir after expansion are carried out,and the safety and stability evaluation of the redmud reservoir after expansion is obtained,that is,the red mud reservoir The stability after heightening and expansion is safe,and the crack control measures are effective;(5)Using a comparative analysis method,a comparative analysis of the stability of the red mud reservoir before and after the expansion is carried out,and it is concluded that the stability of the red mud reservoir after expansion is safe,but the safety factor has decreased,proving the fracture It has an impact on the safety and stability of the red mud reservoir,and it provides reasonable suggestions for the later operation and safety management of the red mud reservoir.It also has reference significance for the management of other similar tailings reservoirs.
