Research On Ecological Civilization Construction In Zengcheng District,Guangzhou,China

Nowadays,China's ecological environment has been severely damaged,which has caused great challenges to China's economic and social sustainable development.In the past 30 years and more,China's economy has been growing at a much faster rate than that of industrialized countries.However the fast growth mostly depends on the consumption of a large amount of resources,which is extensive and unsustainable.With increasingly severe environmental pollution and ecological imbalance,exploring the construction of ecological civilization and realizing sustainable economic and social development become major development issues of our country.Ecological civilization construction is one of the important means to solve these problems.In this respect,Zengcheng has gained a lot of experience and practices,but there are still many problems need to solve.How to improve the level of ecological civilization construction is of great practical significance to Zengcheng District's economic and social construction.Based on the relevant theories of ecological civilization construction,this paper analyzed the current situation of ecological civilization construction in zengcheng district.The achievements are: the basic formation of ecological space,the initial scale of ecological economy,the maintenance of ecological environment,the gradual formation of ecological life,the gradual perfection of ecological system,and the strong ecological and cultural atmosphere.However,there are also problems such as urban expansion taking up ecological land,pollution of the environment by traditional industries,fragile forest ecosystem,inadequate construction of ecological civilization system,lack of quality public service resources,and low level of public participation.The reasons for the problems include the reverse correlation between urban construction land and ecological land,the challenges brought by the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries,the lack of optimization of the overall structure of forest resources,the lagging improvement of related policy system,the inadequate investment in quality public facilities,and the weak concept of public ecological civilization.In view of this,on the basis of learning experience from other regions,this paper puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions,such as reasonable construction of ecological space,vigorously development of ecological economy,efforts to create ecological environment,improvement of ecologicalcivilization construction system,and promotion of ecological culture construction as a whole.
