Nowadays,with the rapid development of regional economy,problems such as resource waste,environmental degradation and ecological imbalance have become increasingly prominent.Sustainable development,as a kind of green development concept,has gradually penetrated into human social activities and the natural resource environment system.As the main force to pull the local economy,the ecological development of economic development zones would be conducive to enhancing regional competitiveness.As an effective carrier of sustainable development,the resource and environment carrying capacity can be quantified to judge the status quo of the region directly.Then,the industrial structure and production process in the region can be optimized and adjusted to improve the utilization rate of resources and reduce environmental pollution.In this paper,Pingxiang Economic and Technological Development Zone was taken as the research object.Its spatio-temporal dynamics of humanities socio-economic,environment,resource carrying status and comprehensive resource and environment carrying capacity were analyzed by a "sub-total" way.The comparison of the current carrying capacity M and ideal RCC in the state space method and the entropy method were also applied in the research(M>RCC,M=RCC,M<RCC represented overload,full load and loadable respectively.The smaller the M value,the stronger the regional carrying capacity and the greater the condition.).Meanwhile,the main problems of the regional industrial ecological adjustment were summarized by SWOT analysis,and the optimization strategies were put forward.The results show that:(1)Time series: From 2010 to 2016,the resource and environment carrying capacity M value of the research object was greater than the RCC value of 0.2174,which was overloaded.Among them,the M value in 2010 was 0.3885,whose level of overload was the most serious.With the increasing attention of the country and governments to the resources and environment in the 12 th Five-Year Plan,the M value was decreased,reached a minimum of 0.3214 in 2012.However,due to the regional industrial policy in 2013,the M value had rebounded to 0.3396,and it had gradually stabilized and declined in the past two years.In 2016,the M value was0.3401,and the carrying condition was poor.It was mainly caused by the overload ofhumanities socio-economic carrying capacity(M1)and resource carrying capacity(M3).In addition,the weak regional carrying capacity was caused by the insufficient investment in research and development,the small per capita resources and the high consumption in water and energy.(2)Inter-regional comparison: In 2016,the difference of resource and environment carrying capacity in six counties of Pingxiang City was very obvious.With an ideal RCC of 0.2095,the comprehensive carrying capacity of each county was: Lianhua County(0.2530)> Shangli County(0.3086)> Xiangdong District(0.3122)> Luxi County(0.3330)> Anyuan District(0.9876)> Economic Development Zone(1.2756).Among them,the carrying capacity M value of the research object was 1.2756,which was far behind that of the relatively good carrying condition of Lianhua County(0.2530).By using the "fast clustering" of SPSS software,it was concluded that the research object belongs to the heavy overload area of resources and environment in Pingxiang City.According to the CorelDRAW image,the heavy overload area of humanities socio-economic carrying capacity(M1),environmental carrying capacity(M2)and resource carrying capacity(M3)were respectively located in the north,the middle and east,and the middle of Pingxiang City.The Pingxiang Economic and Technological Development Zone was located in the north-central part of the city,and its economic development was obviously superior to other counties.However,its small area and the special orientation of development had led to serious industrial structural pollution.At the same time,the bottleneck of sustainable development in the region was caused by the limited water and soil resources,and the insufficient ecological elasticity.Sometimes,its resources also need to be replenished by other regions.(3)SWOT analysis was made on regional industrial ecology from the perspective of resource and environment carrying capacity.The main problems are as follows.Firstly,the functional layout was not clear,and the layout of industrial need to be optimized.Secondly,the leading industries were weak in competition,leading enterprises were insufficient.Then,the shortage of resource supply had resulted in the growth of the burden in carrying capacity.Lastly,the industrial ecological chain was not complete enough,and the infrastructure should be strengthened.To improve the resource and environment carrying capacity and promote the ecology of industry,the optimization strategies and suggestions were put forward in the paper from five aspects: optimizing the spatial pattern,adjusting the industrialstructure,strengthening scientific and technological innovation,developing circular economy and perfecting the institutional system.A feasible reference was provided for the scientific decision-making of Pingxiang Economic and Technological Development Zone to break through resource and environment constraints and achieve regional sustainable development.
