With the rapid development of industry and technology,people's self-awareness has been further improved.People expect products to become more and more personalized and expect products to be obtained more and more quickly.Whether it should hold inventory,what kind of material inventory should be held,how much inventory should be held,and how to control inventory will pose challenges to enterprises in the fierce market competition.The fast food paper packaging container manufacturing industry,which has always been customer-oriented and profitable by holding high inventory and scale production,is also facing the tightening situation which is from faster and faster customer demand changes and raw material supply is increasingly affected by environmental protection.How to ensure that customer needs are met,while maintaining cost rationalization to ensure the company's strong competitiveness,inventory optimization research has undoubtedly risen to the enterprise's imminent topic.This paper studies the current inventory data and status of H company in the paper packaging container industry,first identifies and defines the problems of raw material inventory management,then interviews the relevant personnel of H company supply chain and invites them to analyze the inventory sources,and then use The fishbone diagram identifies the root cause of H company's raw material inventory management issues.In the next step,the corresponding solutions are proposed.For the inaccurate prediction of demand management,the simple moving average method,the weighted moving average method,the simple exponential smoothing method,the Holt's model and the Winter model are used to predict the demand of the H company,and finally the scheme with the smallest prediction bias is selected.For the inventory management problem,the raw materials are reclassified by ABC classification and Kraljic matrix method.Then,according to the new classification,combined with the characteristics of raw materials and the corresponding supplier's willingness to cooperate,select the appropriate ordering strategy for the new classification of raw materials.Based on the strategy of H company not allowed to be out of stock,the reasonable safety stock is determined for the calculation of Class A strategic materials,Class B strategic materials,and Class B bottleneck materials.Use a consignment inventory strategy for Class B leveraged materials.Exploring the localization of imported materials and changing the ordering time to shorten the lead time for the problem of long lead time of raw materials.In addition,in response to the problem of sluggish inventory control,the corresponding prevention and treatment processes are proposed,and the responsible persons and measures to strengthen communication are proposed for the problem of unclear responsibility and poor communication in inventory management.Finally,the effectiveness of the scheme is verified to optimize raw material inventory of H company.The optimization scheme used in this paper also has certain reference significance for the raw material inventory management of paper packaging container manufacturers.
