China’s ecological civilization construction policy puts forward new requirements for the demarcation of urban development boundaries and urban ecological control lines. The urban eco-tourism area is a special area of the urban built-up area and an important part of the urban ecosystem. In the process of urban land use/cover change, the landscape of the ecotourism area is gradually fragmented.Changes in ecosystem services caused by fragmentation of land use affect the value of services provided by ecosystems. At the same time, the function of ecotourism in scenic spots is also affected, and the suitability of ecotourism is weakened. Therefore, understanding the impact of land use fragmentation in urban ecotourism areas on regional ecosystem service values and ecotourism suitability can help promote the protection and rational development of urban ecotourism areas and maintain the stability of urban ecosystem.Select the East Lake ecotourism area of Wuhan as the research object, and combine the trend of land use fragmentation in the case study, and evaluate the value of the land ecosystem service in the case, and then construct the ecosystem service value impact factor system and the ecotourism suitability evaluation system, and analyze the impact mechanism of land use fragmentation on the value of ecosystem services and the suitability of ecotourism in scenic spots from time and space dimensions based on LUCC research and ecological impact assessment studies in tourism areas at home and abroad. The study found that:(1)from 2000 to 2015,the area of land converted to construction in the East Lake ecotourism area was relatively large and the landscape showed obvious fragmentation trends: patch density increased from 1.67 to 1.96,and the landscape diversity index increased from 1.59 to 1.71.(2)During the 15-year,the value of overall services and function services of land ecosystems declined year by year. The total value decreased by 62.4882 million yuan, and water accounted for about 80% of the service value. The reduction of grassland, cultivated land and waters has led to a decline in the value of ecosystem services. The fragmentation trend of land use is a major factor in the decline of the value of supporting and cultural functions of the ecosystem.(3)The suitability of ecotourism in scenic spots is high, but the downward trend is obvious. The high suitability area presents a “core-edge” distribution and is concentrated in the south central and southeastern parts. The reduction and fragmentation of the natural landscape brought about by urban expansion is the main cause of the decline in the suitability of ecotourism. The evaluation of the forecast data shows that the suitability of ecotourism will be reduced and the spatial distribution will be fragmented in 2025.According to the research conclusions, this paper proposes countermeasures from the perspective of urban ecological protection planning and ecological function zoning of the East Lake ecotourism area. This study is carried out from the perspective of the suitability of ecosystem services and ecotourism development, which enriches the analysis system of the ecological impact of land use fragmentation in urban ecotourism areas. However, the research on the interaction mechanism between land use change and sustainable development of urban ecotourism needs further study.
