Research On Environmental Awareness And Influencing Factors Of Rural Women In Shunqing District Of Nanchong City

With the rapid development of China’s rural economy,the rural environment is facing great challenges.The renovation and improvement of the rural environment is an important task to be solved.With the advancement of industrialization,a large number of rural men went out to work,and rural women gradually changed from the role of family to the role of society.In the past,the production mode of"men farming and women weaving gradually changed to the production mode of"men working and women farming”,and rural women played an increasingly important role in agricultural production and rural life.The environmental awareness of rural women can affect the ecological environment of rural areas to a great extent.But what is the level of environmental awareness of rural women?What factors influence the environmental awareness of rural women?Starting from the individual characteristics of rural women,this paper attempts to find out the key factors affecting the environmental awareness of rural women by taking environmental awareness as the entry point,so as to provide some references for the solution of rural environmental problems.This study uses rural women this group as the research object,and basis on demand hierarchy theory and the theory of rational behavior(TRA)as the foundation,using the experience of previous studies,environmental awareness will be divided into environmental knowledge,environmental attitude and environmental behavior of three dimensions,adopt questionnaire investigation and statistical analysis,uses a total of nine village on-the-spot investigation data which obtained in July 2018 in Shunqing district of Nanchong city in three township by author.Then it gives a describe of the analysis and evaluation,present conditions of environmental consciousness to the influence factors of rural women’s environmental awareness has carried on the empirical analysis.Environmental knowledge from the questionnaire survey result,rural women choose rate is 61.7%,the correct answer environment attitude positive answer selection rate accounted for 74.5%,environmental behavior the answer right choice rate accounted for 53.2%,among them,the rate of right answer choice environment behavior significantly lower than the environmental knowledge and environmental attitude,this is the warning we should pay more attention to the environmental behavior of rural women.In addition,the rural women’s environmental knowledge,environmental attitude situation is not optimistic,a large number of rural women environment knowledge level is low,environmental attitude is also still have a lot of room to improve,at present,rural women in Shunqing district of Nanchong city are lack of environmental knowledge,and have passive environmental attitude and improper environmental behavior choice.In this paper,the linear weighted average method is used to measure the environmental awareness of rural women.The results show that the overall level of environmental awareness of rural women in Shunqing district of Nanchong city is low.Specifically,about 1/3(37.1%)of rural women have a general level of environmental awareness,about 1/3(33.8%)of rural women have a relatively poor level of environmental awareness,about 1/5(20.6%)of rural women have a very poor level of environmental awareness,and only a few less than 1/10(8.5%)of rural women have good environmental awareness.In this paper,using multiple linear regression model of rural women’s environmental consciousness,we made empirical analysis on the influence factors of three dimensions,using ordinary least squares(OLS)to estimate the model,the following conclusions:(1)the level of education,public awareness level,income and occupational status four variables on the rural women’s environment has significant positive influence on knowledge level,age for rural women’s environment knowledge level have a certain negative impact;(2)the four variables of education level,public awareness level,income and occupational status have significant positive influence on the environmental attitude of rural women,but age has no significant influence on the environmental attitude of rural women.(3)variables that affect environmental knowledge and attitudes do not necessarily have a significant impact on environmental behavior,and the level of public awareness and health indicators have a significant positive impact on the environmental behavior of rural women.According to the research results and local conditions,the author believes that environmental awareness of rural women in Shunqing district of Nanchong city should be promoted from the aspects of education level,economic income,career development,public awareness and health.Specific Suggestions are as follows:(1)vigorously develop the education of rural women and promote their environmental awareness;(2)increase the economic income of rural women and enhance their ability to pay for environmental protection;(4)enhance the level of public awareness of rural women and promote their environmental awareness;(5)strengthen health publicity for rural women and improve their environmental awareness.
