The winter ancestor worship in Sanmen is a folk activity to worship ancestors,which is held during the winter solstice by families of many branches in various towns of Sanmen County,Taizhou City,Zhejiang Province.Taking Yangjia Village,Tingpang Town,Sanmen County as the example,the paper gave an ecological interpretation of the winter ancestor worship in Sanmen by means of theories and methods of ecological folklore.Based on the ecological environment of the activity,the paper analyzed the natural geographical factors and human ecological factors generating the activity,clarified the origin and development of the activity.In addition,the paper comprehensively interpreted the preliminary preparation and ritual of the activity from the perspective of the ritual space,pointing out the communication between human,god and ghost and the spatial coordination between material,spirit and society in Yangjia Village.Then the paper further explored the ecological implication of the activity,analyzed the ecological connotation the activity contains,and revealed the existing non-ecological phenomena.Meanwhile,according to the conservation status of this non-material cultural heritage,the winter ancestor worship in Sanmen,the paper analyzed the deficiencies of the protection measures taken at present and put forward ecological conservation measures to realize the sustainable development of the winter ancestor worship in Sanmen. |
