| Graphite is a non-metallic mineral resource.Due to its unique chemical and physical properties,graphite is widely used in traditional industrial industries and strategic emerging industries.It is a necessary mineral raw material for industrial production in various countries and a high-tech industry.Therefore,graphite is protected by many countries as a strategic mineral resource.Due to the difference in the endowment of graphite resources and the technical problems of graphite production and processing,more than 80% of the global graphite consumption comes from international trade.Based on the above background,studying the evolution of international trade pattern of graphite and its influencing factors,and scientifically evaluating China’s position in the international trade of graphite will help China to formulate international trade policies on graphite more scientifically and rationally,and to exploit and utilize graphite resources in China.It is more reasonable and more efficient.At the same time,it can promote and promote the sustainable and healthy development of China’s graphite industry,thus ensuring the strategic reserve and strategic security of China’s graphite resources.Based on the graphite trade data of the United Nations Trade Database from 1998 to 2017,this paper analyzes the pattern and influencing factors of international graphite trade network by using complex network method and econometric model,and analyzes the influencing factors of China’s graphite foreign trade.Based on the understanding of the basic conditions of graphite use,production and consumption,the complex network method is used to further analyze the complex graphite international trade network pattern.The results show that the network density of the graphite international trade network shows a downward trend in 20 years.The number of trade participating countries has increased.The graphite trade network is a typical scale-free network.Geographic distance and resource endowment are still the main reasons affecting trade links.The community division algorithm in complex networks is used to analyze the division and change of the graphite international trade network and the Chinese graphite foreign trade network.The results show that the graphite international trade network has obvious regional division,and China has always been at the core of the community and has more and more trade countries.The empirical analysis partially analyzes the factors affecting the international trade of graphite and China’s foreign trade through the econometric model.The regression results show that the geographical distance is still the resistance factor affecting the graphite trade.The manufacturing value added and the graphite consumption are all related to the graphite trade.In international trade,graphite reserves play a role in promoting trade.The size of the population will hinder the flow of graphite trade.In China’s foreign trade,the size of the population has contributed to the foreign trade of graphite in China,and whether a free trade agreement is signed for China.The impact of graphite on foreign trade is not significant.Based on the above analysis,it is recommended that the state improve the level of domestic graphite development and deep processing through technological innovation,increase the export of graphite deep processing products,strengthen infrastructure construction,improve logistics efficiency,adjust and improve the international trade structure of graphite mineral products,strengthen policy reserves,and study and protect domestic Graphite mineral resources,etc. |
