Analysis On The Evolution Of Graphite Trade Country Status And Its Influencing Factors

Graphite is a basic mineral raw material,which is widely used in many fields.China has a large graphite reserves and a high level of graphite production and consumption,but it is not a strong country in graphite resources.Therefore,the research on the status and influencing factors of international graphite trade will help China seize the opportunity under the current background of graphite trade,and help China formulate graphite strategic policies that are more in line with national conditions and trade characteristics.Starting from the research and development of national trade network,through consulting a large number of literatures and selecting artificial graphite and natural graphite with HS codes of 2504 and 3801 as research objects,this paper constructs a global trade network consisting of more than 200 related node countries in the 16 years from 2002 to 2017.Firstly,the evolution of the status of trade countries' associations is analyzed;secondly,the principal component cluster analysis of the central indicators of the status of Global trade countries is carried out;secondly,the evolution trend of the status of graphite trade between China and the United States is compared and analyzed;finally,the influencing factors of graphite trade are analyzed by panel data regression analysis.The research shows that the division of associations fluctuates greatly,forming the division of associations headed by big trading countries,and the trade of countries with small associations is unstable and easy to disperse or disintegrate.The overall centrality level of graphite international trade is not high,the number of countries in the "leading" position is small,and the trade is scattered.China is a major trading country in graphite,and its trade status is stable.Although the United States does not have much graphite resources,it is a powerful trading country in graphite.Through the analysis of the influencing factors,it is found that the number of population,the level of economic development(GDP),the coefficient of network aggregation and the amount of foreign direct investment play a positive role in graphite trade.
