Research On Improvement Of Finished Product Rate On K Type Tinplate Plate In BG Firm Base On Six Sigma Management

As the downstream demand from cans lines has increased rapidly in recent years,the customer's demands on the tin products' shape have become more and more critical.The current production capability can't satisfy the changing customer's demands any more,which force firms to improve the product quality on strip shape imminently.The Six Sigma Method is one kind of quality management theory,and also provide a systematic method for improving the enterprises management process quality strictly,concentrically,and effectively.Under the direction of "Zero Defect" pursuit,it can reduce the quality cost greatly,promote the financial effect,and generate the breakthrough of enterprises.This paper is targeting at how to improve the shape quality of tin plate in BG firm with the Six Sigma Management Theory.Firstly,based on literature review,dozens of documents on Six Sigma Management Methods was summarized.Secondly,the present situation of the quality of the product shape with empirical research methods were surveyed,and the definition and measurement studies on the tin plate shape with the method of quantitative analysis were summarized.The potential causes of the shape quality were analyzed.Thirdly,in the stage of analysis and improvement,the improvement actions were suggested based on the analysis of the fundamental reasons.Finally,through the implementation of improvement actions,the achievements of the improvement were consolidated and the final improvement scheme was proposed.In this thesis,Six Sigma Theory and Practice have been well referred during improving the quality of the tin plate shape in BG firm.As the results,the user's complain were reduced.The thesis is summary of a real Six Sigma project in BG firm.This project used the theory and practice tools of Six Sigma to improve the quality of tin products.This project also provided the valuable experience to other production lines improvement.The thesis built the strong theoretical basis for controlling the shape of tin plate in practice by using DMAIC procedure.With this project,the critical factors for the quality were identified;the improvement scheme to help people control the shape quality of tin plate were proposed and tested;as a result,the user's complain was reduced.
