The Decoration Of Four Gentlemen’s Patterns On Women’s Costums In Qing Dynasty And Its Innovative Application—taking Costumes As An Example

In traditional Chinese culture,the "four gentlemen" are used to refer to the noble inner morality and principle of the saints,which are used to symbolize the noble character of the saints.The high and clean of plum blossoms,the inconsistency of orchids,the toughness and elegance of bamboo,and the arrogance of chrysanthemums have been sung by generations.The use of patterns in the Qing Dynasty costumes emphasizes that "the map must be intentional,and the meaning must be auspicious." The beautiful meaning contained in the four gentlemen is the beautiful desire of people,so it is widely used in the women’s costumes of the Qing Dynasty.Through a large number of literature collection and image analysis,this paper uses the case analysis method,the physical research method,the comprehensive analysis method and other research methods to express the meaning,image characteristics,composition regularity,color characteristics and process performance of the four gentlemen’s patterns on women’s clothing in the Qing Dynasty.Research on decoration layout,etc.,and on the basis of the research results,the modern innovative design of the women’s costumes in the Qing Dynasty was carried out,and the structure,color,craftsmanship and position of the four gentlemen’s patterns were innovatively applied.Finally,the finished products of the graduation design were completed..
