With the improvement of people’s living standards and social awareness,the development of children’s physical and mental health has become the focus of attention of parents.Preschool children are in an important period of children’s growth,and their physiological and psychological development is of great significance for future growth..Children’s furniture as an essential item in the daily life of preschool children plays an important role in their growth.However,children’s furniture on the market is currently focused on the needs of parents of children as consumers,ignoring the real needs of children as a use group.Due to children’s age stages,there are different demands for furniture at different ages.Therefore,designing furniture that highly meets the needs of children’s physical and mental growth is an important issue for designers.This topic takes the emotional theory as the starting point to design and research preschool children’s furniture.First of all,through reading literature data,the physiological and psychological characteristics of preschool children are analyzed.Using the same level of refinement,comparison decomposition and overall induction methods,the product design rules that accord with the growth characteristics of preschool children are summarized.Through investigations,interviews with people,and questionnaire surveys,we learned about the current state of children’s furniture design and the design needs of preschool children for furniture.Secondly,on the basis of the study of emotional design theory,based on the Desmet product emotional model and the level of Norman’s emotional needs,combined with the characteristics of preschool children’s perceptual development,through the user’s psychological preference experiment,it is clear that preschool children’s furniture color,The psychological preferences of the three aspects of modeling and materials reflect the importance of emotion in the design of children’s furniture.Through the analysis of excellent cases,the advantages and characteristics of the emotional design of children’s furniture are explored,and the emotion of preschool children’s furniture is proposed.The principles and methods of design,and finally,through the design practice,verify the feasibility of emotional theory and the scientific nature of preschool children’s emotional furniture design.It provides new directions and new ideas for the design and development of preschool children’s furniture.The research results of the dissertation provide reference value for designing furniture that meets the growing needs of preschool children,lays a foundation for the emotional furniture design of children at a specific stage,and provides reference for the design research of related products and helps them research.And develop better children’s furniture designs.
