As China’s new urbanization progresses steadily,a series of ecological and environmental problems have become increasingly prominent.People are beginning to realize the importance of ecological environment governance and promoting sustainable development.In this context,to explore and analyze the coupling and coordination between the urbanization and ecological environment in Fujian Province,with some theoretical reference and practical significance.Based on the existing research results and the comprehensive literature both at home and abroad,this paper combines the reality of Fujian Province and the connotation of urbanization and ecological environment,from the four dimensions of economic urbanization,population urbanization,spatial urbanization and social urbanization Based on the framework of PSR(Pressure-State-Response),three criteria layers of ecological environment pressure,ecological environment and ecological environment response are set up to build a comprehensive evaluation system of ecological environment.Based on these two systems,this paper constructs an index system of coupling and coordinative evaluation of urbanization and eco-environment in Fujian Province.And then through the coefficient of variation method and the comprehensive evaluation function to process the original data of indicators to get the comprehensive evaluation value of urbanization and the comprehensive evaluation value of ecological environment in each city in a certain year.Finally,using the coupling degree model and the coupling coordination degree model,The coupling degree and coupling coordination degree between urbanization and eco-environment in nine prefecture-level cities in Fujian province are measured empirically,which reflects the evolution trend and time-series features of the coupling relationship between urbanization and eco-environment.Through empirical research,draw the following conclusions:(1)The overall development trend of coupling and coordination between urbanization and eco-environment in Fujian Province during 2010-2016 is good,and the features of coordinated development are continuously optimized.The characteristics of "barely coordinated" and"primary coordination" are slowly shifted from the characteristics of"imbalanced decline".However,the overall coupling and coordination of the nine cities is not yet very high.In recent years,only Xiamen has entered the primary coordinated development mode.(2)The level of coupling and coordination between cities is obviously different,and the development of regional space is not balanced.Coupling degree of urbanization and eco-environment in coastal economically developed areas is generally higher than inland areas,and the coordinated development characteristics of most cities belong to the category of urbanization lagging.(3)The coupling degree fluctuates relatively smoothly.The coupling level of most of the nine cities in Fujian Province is relatively advanced.Apart from Nanping City,which is still in the middle-level coupling stage,the other eight cities have entered the advanced level coupling stage.Among them,the coupling value of Xiamen over the years is always extremely close to the maximum value of 1,it can be considered that the level of coupling in Xiamen City has almost reached the optimal benign resonance coupling state.(4)The level of urbanization is not synchronized with the level of development of the ecological environment.The comprehensive ranking of urbanization and the comprehensive ranking of ecological environment do not correspond to the range of the urban area.The cities with relatively high level of urbanization are not necessarily listed in the comprehensive ranking of the ecological environment.
