Schiff bases have been widely investigated owing to their various ways of coordination mode.In this article,we use the deprotonated ligands to coordinate with metal element. Two new Schiff bases,C18H23NO?HL1?,C20H27NO?HL2?and the corresponding complexes with Co?II?,Cu?II?and Zn?II?were synthesized. The compounds are new synthesized. Our work enriched the varieties of Schiff bases complexes. The five complexes'crystal structures were analyzed by Single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The following work:1.Two new Schiff bases were derived from amantadine or rimantadine and5-Methylsalicylaldehyde,respectively.The reactions of Cobalt?II?chloride hexahydrate or Copper?II?chloride dihydrate or Zinc?II?chloride and two bulky Schiff base ligands derived from 5-Methylsalicylaldehyde.Generated six novel complexes,C36H44CoN2O2?1?,C36H44CuN2O2?2?,C36H44N2O2Zn?3?,C40H52CoN2O2?4?,C40H52CuN2O2?5?,C40H52N2O2Zn?6?,respectively.2.The compounds were characterized by IR,UV,melting point,1H NMR,and molar conductance. The five complexes?complex 1,2,3,4,and 6?were analysised by X-ray single crystal diffraction.
