Abstract/Summary:
In this thesis, ten Schiff base ligands with adamantane group and ten corresponding complexes were synthesized. These compounds were characterized by melting point, elemental analysis,1H-NMR,IR spectra, X-ray powder diffraction; the structures of the compounds were deduced. In which two Schiff bases and two complexes were analysised by X-ray single crystal diffraction. Antibacterial tests were conducted for ligands and complexes from amantadine/rimantadine with salicylaldehyde or its derivatives as well as their zinc complexes.The following work:1. Ten Schiff bases and their zinc complexes were obtained from amantadine or rimantadine and zinc dichloride. Schiff bases and zinc complexes were characterized by IR,1H-NMR. elemental analysis and X-ray powder diffraction.2. Two single crystals for Schiff bases L6and L10were developed in appropriate solution. L6:yellow, triclinic,space group P21/c;cell parameters:a=10.164(1)A, b=12.883(2)A, c=14.068(2)A. Z=4. V=1718.2A3. F(000)=680,R1=0.0456, ωR2=0.0998. Lio:yellow, triclinic, space group P21/c; cell parameters:a=9.9656(12) A, b=16.1791(17)A, c=11.6239(13)A. Z=4, V=1717.7(3)A3, F(000)=680,R1,=0.0462, coR2=0.1015.3. Two coordination complexes single crystals:C5and C10were developed in appropriate solution. C5:white, triclinic, space group P1;cell parameters: a=13.0940(13)A,b=13.5529(13)A, c=22.508(2)A. Z=4, V=3563.0(6)A3. F(000)=1480,R1=0.0613, ωR2=0.1652. C10:white, orthorhombic, space group Pbcn; cell parameters:a=13.2436(14) A,b=12.3110(13)A, c=24.888(2)A. Z=4, V=4057.8(7)A3, F(000)=1616,R1=0.0505, ωR2=0.1190.4. Antibacteria test were carried out for all of Schiff bases and their complexes to bacteria,such as Bacillus subtilis and Escherichia coli.
