In this thesis, nine Schiff bases with adamantane group and nine kinds of corresponding nickel(Ⅱ) clusters were synthesized. These complexes were characterized by melting point,IR and elemental analysis.Their structures of the clusters were deduced. Four nickel(Ⅱ) clusters were analysised by X-ray single crystal diffraction and tested by the magnetic susceptibility. In addition, nine mononuclear nickel(Ⅱ) complexes were synthesized with salicylaldehyde and substituted salicylaldehydes. The following work,i. Nine Schiff bases and their corresponding nickel(Ⅱ)clusters were obtained from amantadine, alicylaldehyde, substituted salicylaldehydes and nickel(Ⅱ)chloride hexahydrate.ii. Nine mononuclear nickel(Ⅱ)complexes were synthesised by salicylaldehyde and substituted salicylaldehydes.iii.The complexes were characterized by melting point,IR and elemental analysis. The structures of the complexes were deduced. The crystal structures of complexes 2,4,5 and 6 were revealed. 2:Green,tetragonal,space group I41/a;cell parameters:a=22.2896(5)A,b= 22.2896(5)A,c=9.5616(4)A,α=90°,β=90°,β=90°,Z=4,V=4750.5(2)A°, F(000)=2256,R1=0.0691,ωR2=0.1407. 4:Green,monoclinic,space group P21/c;cell parameters:a=18.1254(5)A,b= 17.1476(6)A,c=14.7243(5)A,α=90°,β=90.968(3)°,γ=90°,Z=4,V= 4575.8(3)A3,F(000)=2272,R1=0.0655,ωR2=0.0843. 5:Green,monoclinic,space group P21/c;cell parameters:a=18.3257(7)A,b= 17.2059(9)A,c=14.8455(6)A,α=90°,β=91.095(3)°,γ=90°,Z=4,V= 4680.1(4)A3,F(000)=2560,R1=0.1049,ωR2=0.1117. 6:Green,triclinic,space group Pi;cell parameters:a=14.5711(10)A,b= 15.6537(13)A,c=15.9607(8)A,α=104.591(6)°,β=104.687(5)°,γ= 117.084(7)°,Z=2,V=2835.9(3)A3,F(000)=1192,R1=0.1417,ωR2=0.3070.
