In this thesis,four Schiff base ligands,C17H20INO(L1),C19H24INO(L2),C17H20N2O3(L3),C19H24N2O3(L4)and the corresponding complexes with Co(II),Cu(II)and Zn(II)were synthesized.These compounds’ physical properties and structurs were characterized by melting point,IR,UV,1H NMR,elemental analysis and molar conductance.The compounds’ structures were deduced.The crystal structures of six complexes were obtained by X-ray single crystal diffraction.Two of them were tested by means of the magnetic susceptibility.The main study contents are as follows,a)The 5-iodo salicylaldehyde was synthesized using salicylaldehyde asmaterials,and iodine monochloride with glacial acetic acid as solvent.b)Four Schiff bases were obtained from amantadine or rimantadine and2-hydroxy-5-iodobenzaldehyde or 2-hydroxy-5-nitrobenzaldehyde,respectively.The reactions of cobalt(II)chloride hexahydrate or copper(II)chloride dihydrateor zinc(II)chloride and four bulky Schiff base ligands derived from substitutedsalicylaldehydes,generated twelve novel complexes,C34H38CoI2N2O2(1),C34H38CuI2N2O2(2),C34H38I2N2O2Zn(3),C38H46CoI2N2O2(4),C38H46CuI2N2O2(5),C38H46I2N2O2Zn(6),C34H38CoN4O6(7),C34H38CuN4O6(8),C34H38N4O6Zn(9),C38H46CoN4O6(10),C38H46CuN4O6(11)and C38H46N4O6Zn(12),respectively.c)The compounds’ physical properties and structures were characterized bymelting point,IR,UV,1H NMR,elemental analysis and molar conductance.d)The magnetic behavior of the two complexes was studied preliminary.The crystal structures of complexes 1-4,8 and 10 were revealed,1: Red,monoclinic,space group P21/n;cell parameters: a = 10.7668(10)?,b =23.492(2)?,c = 14.0487(13)?,α = 90°,β = 106.214(3)°,γ = 90°,Z = 4,V =3412.1(5)?3,F(000)= 1692,R1 = 0.0499,ωR2 = 0.1321.2: Red,monoclinic,space group P21/c;cell parameters: a = 10.7947(5)?,b =28.2000(14)?,c = 21.4349(11)?,α = 90°,β = 91.230(2)°,γ = 90°,Z = 8,V =6523.5(6)?3,F(000)= 3256.0,R1 = 0.0875,ωR2 = 0.1470.3: Yellowish,monoclinic,space group P21/n;cell parameters: a = 10.6699(9)?,b= 23.5515(17)?,c = 13.9653(11)?,α = 90°,β = 106.046(3)°,γ = 90°,Z = 4,V=3372.6(5)?3,F(000)= 1704,R1 = 0.0488,ωR2 = 0.1077.4: Orange,monoclinic,space group P21/n;cell parameters: a = 15.709(2)?,b =13.567(2)?,c = 17.822(2)?,α = 90°,β = 100.179(2)°,γ = 90°,Z = 4,V = 3738.7(9)?3,F(000)= 1748,R1 = 0.1423,ωR2 = 0.3035.8: Crimson,monoclinic,space group P21/n;cell parameters: a = 9.7093(5)?,b =14.6493(9)?,c = 21.9792(12)?,α = 90°,β = 98.137(2)°,γ = 90°,Z = 4,V =3094.7(3)?3,F(000)= 1388,R1 = 0.0687,ωR2 = 0.1380.10: Scarlet,Triclinic,space group Pī;cell parameters: a = 11.9590(19)?,b =12.502(2)?,c = 13.751(6)?,α = 91.756(5)°,β = 106.641(5)°,γ = 116.938(5)°,Z = 2,V = 1724.9(5)?3,F(000)= 754,R1 = 0.0687,ωR2 = 0.1336. |
