Comprehensive Evaluation Of Nature Reserves

Nature reserves have great significance in protecting biodiversity,natural relics and landscapes.The study about comprehensive evaluation of nature reserves will help to improve the benefits of nature reserves and achieve the sustainable development.Based on sustainable development theory,ecology theory,environmental protection theory and ecosystem theory,this paper takes Wanfoshan Nature Reserve as an example,and selects 21 indexes to construct the comprehensive evaluation index system of three-level nature reserves from ecological environment,management effectiveness,and value.The weight is determined by subjective and objective combination weighting method.The evaluation results of matter-element analysis are applied to grade estimation and the results of the fuzzy evaluation method are used to analyze the specific changes.This paper takes Wanfoshan Nature Reserve's 2000,2016 and 2025 three periods of data into longitudinal evaluation,and compared with Danxiashan and Huoshizhai national nature reserve,we will master the development tendency of Wanfoshan Nature Reserve and analyze its development advantage and existing problems.The main findings are as follows:(1)According to the evaluation results,the comprehensive development level of Wanfoshan Nature Reserve in 2000,2016 and 2025 is poor,good and good respectively,and the comprehensive score is 49.2064,61.7180 and 67.1716.The overall development level of Wanfoshan Nature Reserve has been increasing since its establishment.However,the development speed has slowed down.The development level of ecological environment,management and conservation effectiveness has increased rapidly,so we can see that the establishment of Wanfoshan Nature Reserve has achieved remarkable effect.However,as the number and the protection level of nature reserves increase in China,the representativeness and uniqueness advantage of Wanfoshan Nature Reserve has become weaker and weaker.(2)Based on the evaluation results of horizontal comparison,it is found that the Wanfoshan Nature Reserve is at a moderate level among the geological relic nature reserves in China,and there is still a certain gap with national nature reserves.The gap between Wanfoshan Nature Reserve and Danxiashan Nature Reserve is larger than Huoshizhai Nature Reserve,especially in the aspect of management effectiveness.Wanfoshan Nature Reserve has outstanding advantages in ecological environment,and there is a higher growth and upside protential in the management effectiveness and value.(3)This study holds that the comprehensive development level of Wanfoshan Nature Reserve can be improved from the following three aspects:First,maintain the ecological environment advantages,protect the forest vegetation and environmental quality,carry out resource investigation and monitoring,and strengthen the protection of wildlife resources;Second,strictly control the influence of human activities,guide the public support,participate in the management and protection of nature reserves,strictly control the impact of construction projects on the ecological environment,insist on taking protection as the primary goal,and clarify the ownership of management;Third,tap the potential of tourism development in nature reserves,formulate scientific eco-tourism development plans,strengthen scientific research exchanges and cooperation,and enhance the scientific research value of protected target.
