Research On The Artistic Characteristics Of The Crown In Song Dynasty

Culture is a social phenomenon as well as a historical phenomenon.In some ways,it represents the mode and degree of human cognition of the world and how we control it.Song Dynasty put mental training above physical training while enforcing the country and enriching the people.The rapid development of technology with its open and honest politic made Song Dynasty one of the most vital periods,when the culture developed positively and the art developed rapidly.The culture and the art of the Song Dynasty do not only existed in the material but also act beyond the material.Its symbol is based on the unique creativity and creation of all daily activities,including literature,art,science and history,showing a holistic and comprehensive view of culture and life.For example,from Zhou Dynasty,the inherited crown system from generation to generation with its connotation based on the ritual culture which is promoted by Confucius,showing a distinctive mark of that times based on the unique cultural patterns.The inherited system at royal court of Song Dynasty manifest these features the most,from existing research,the part that touches upon the crown is included in the study of clothes and culture at that time,however,there are only handful papers mentioned the shape and pattern of the crown in Song dynasty without researching separately among emperor and officials.On the basis of studying the historical literature about the crown in dynasties before the Song,this paper will give a primary research on the artist features of the crown in the Song Dynasty,and try to classify it according to new criterion to conduct a shallow analysis by learning the useful experience from predecessors.Basides,this paper will also make some supplementary ahout civil crown and compare it with royal crown for further feature studies.The content of this article is roughly expanded from four levels,the first chapter,retrospect the generation of crown culture and formation and revolution of crown system,thus carrying out some details for textual research,such as the meaning of ‘ crown’ and the difference among” bian,corona and towel”.On this basis,the crown system of Song Dynasty is divided particularly according to the hierarchy system,classified as Imperial Crown’s crown,daily crown-official crown,daily crown-and civilian crowns these three categories.The second chapter mainly shows the comparative study of the crown of song dynasty and the crown of dynasties,starting from the characterization of the modeling,pattern,material and accessories of the Song Dynasty crowns,then deeply grasps the distinctive external features of the different styles of the Song Dynasty crowns.The third chapter explains the core combined with empirical analysis,from the clothing tone of the Chinese nation--state of ceremonies and materialized perceptual form of ‘officials inferior to emperor’,revealing the well-ordered essence of the ritual culture of Song Dynasty,the folk element of preventing the evil from harm and worship and beliefs of ‘Long and Feng’.The forth chapter uses the super publicity and pleasure principle of aesthetic culture,discussing the crown of Song Dynasty is obvious differently from the gorgeous style of Tang Dynasty,which sets the practical value and aesthetic value in one,so the beauty of the natural is shown in its light,simple,elegant and quiet.The final conclusion is combined with historical basis,analyzing the multifaceted influence of the crown in Song Dynasty which also means the evolution of the coronal clothing system.The association between the evolution of the crown after Song Dynasty and the original one,the pattern of the crown of Song Dynasty,the influence of color on visual psychology and overall collocation of modern clothing.
