The research and development of automatic drill holes system for YM60 type agricultural transmission case.The quality of the drilled holes on transmission case could affect the shift-feel of agricultural machinery,the noise and shake from the machinery,lubrication performance,and temperature rise and transmission efficiency.Foreign enterprises use five axis machining to do the processing of drilling holes on transmission systems.The equipment and process cost is expensive,and also the efficiency is low.Domestic enterprises are mostly using ordinary machine and manual process,leads to low efficiency and low quality.To solve this problem,this paper adopts the theoretical analysis and experimental research on different process series,to make optimal agricultural transmission case process.Design and fabricate more reliable mechanical structure and automatic controller.The main work and achievements of this paper are as follows:(1)To solve the problem of too many kinds of cutting tool and steps during the process of drilling hole of traditional transmission case.According to the drilling tool material and geometric parameters,the use of software modeling,analysis by CAE,design a combination cutting tool,thus the hole,drilling,reaming,reaming and orifice chamfering integrated into one procedure,save processing time and reduce the positioning error.(2)To solve the problems of poor consistency positioning of pressure board in manual clamping process and complicate manual process.The parts of transmission case have a variety of methods of handling:manual,pneumatic and hydraulic clamp.In this paper,mathematical calculation software simulation and test analysis of position accuracy is applied to find different clamping method cause different effects on positioning and controlling the size of the holes.(3)The mechanical parts of automatic equipment such as mechanical hand feeding device,a screw conveyer,automatic conversion device,the theoretical analysis of the clamping device and finite element simulation using CAE software was applied.(4)The selection of electrical components in the electrical system was done by scientific calculation.Compiling reliable PLC program and designing friendly man-machine interface,simulation and practical application helps the device achieve the expected function.(5)When tapping screw thread in order to prevent from enclosure materials uneven,and blockage of the chip,tap wear and so on reasons cause breaking taps,using flexible tapping chuck on hardware,the software adopts the torque of the servo system to provide the function of feed speed and spindle axis rotation movement of the pitch error compensation,and the tap wear state real time monitoring,analysis and management to tap life.After more than a year running of this Automatic-Hole-Drilling production line,the yield of assembly of the parts of transmission case was dramatically improved.Shift-feel of agricultural machinery,the noise and shake from the machinery was significantly optimized.Replacing the parts during maintain and repair becomes much easier.Already recognized by the enterprises and has been extended to the related industry,make a contribution to promote the level of manufacturing industry.
