Mining Methods Of Toponym Culture Spatial Diffusion Pattern

Toponym is a cultural symbol that expresses places and precipitates a rich historical and cultural connotation.It records people's social practice activities from a specific side and embodies the blend of nature and humanities.Toponym culture is the human culture precipitated by the toponym symbol itself and the geographical entity it refers to under the joint action of the natural environment and social environment.At present,China government have launched policies to strengthen cultural protection and establish cultural self-confidence.As a major branch of culture,toponym culture has rich cultural connotations and needs to be mined.From the perspective of geography,related researches on toponym and toponym culture are mostly found in various empirical analyses.The method level is also mainly basic use of spatial analysis,spatial statistical analysis and visual mapping methods.Most researches are also limited to provincial administrative units.The influence of administrative regions cannot be broken,and there is a lack of innovation in methodology and breakthroughs in research scale.Toponym in our country has even been gradually reduced and disappeared,and the quantitative research of toponym culture in China is still in a relatively lagging stage.The current method of mathematical statistical classification cannot quantify the scale and spatial diffusion of toponym culture route.In response to the above problems,it is necessary to mine the spatial diffusion pattern of toponym culture on a national scale and express it quantitatively to solve the research pain points of the lack of time information of most toponym data.Profit by the development of human geography,the theory of cultural diffusion has laid a solid foundation for the research of this article.GIS traditional research methods based on object model and field model also have wide application.This paper combines the two with the research of toponym culture,transplants the cultural diffusion theory into the field of toponym culture,and constructs a conceptual framework of the spatial diffusion mode of toponym culture in response to the spatial and temporal changes of toponym culture.The mining ideas of toponym culture space diffusion pattern are divided into two aspects: structure-oriented and process-oriented.The mining method of toponym culture space diffusion pattern for different data is proposed.The main contents and conclusions of the research are as follows:(1)The conceptual framework of toponym culture spatial diffusion modelFirst of all,the concept of toponym culture in this paper is defined from three aspects of content category,carrying form,and information connotation.Then the toponym culture diffusion model based on the human geography theory is explained.Finally the research ideas of toponym cultural diffusion model are pointed out.The above three together constitute the conceptual framework of the spatial diffusion model of toponym culture,which provides a theoretical basis for subsequent research.(2)Mining method of spatial diffusion pattern of toponym culture based on GIS object model and field modelBased on the GIS object model,the cultural spatial diffusion pattern of toponym containing time information is extracted,that is,the point object is connected to the administrative area where it is located.Through this "point" to "polygon" method,the cultural area of the toponym spatial diffusion is determined,and by judging the topological types between polygon,we can determine the type of toponym culture diffusion.Based on the GIS field model,the spatial diffusion pattern extraction of toponym without time information is carried out,that is,the geographical density distribution surface is generated according to the discrete degree of toponym.Through the calculation of the density surface,the cultural hearth,cultural area,diffusion type and internal hierarchical structure of the toponym culture spatial diffusion are extracted.The structure tree is used to calculate the rate of change,complexity,and spatial form of the spatial diffusion of toponym culture to quantitatively describe the spatial diffusion of toponym culture.(3)Empirical analysis of mining methods of geographical spatial diffusion patterns based on Chinese village dataTaking the results of the second national census of toponym data,the above methods were used to identify the spatial diffusion pattern of toponym culture with time information and the spatial diffusion pattern of toponym culture without time information.Use GIS visualization methods to express information such as cultural hearth,cultural areas,diffusion types,diffusion paths,etc.,to form a thematic map of toponym culture diffusion,and analyze the reasons for its formation in conjunction with historical literature on toponym.The experimental results show that the proposed toponym culture spatial diffusion mining method can effectively extract the structural feature information and diffusion process information of toponym cultural spatial diffusion.Different mining methods are adopted for toponym data with and without time information,which solves the problem of quantitative description of toponym culture spatial diffusion pattern without time information.Model mining based on Chinese village data breaks the administrative restrictions in previous studies.However,the method of mining the spatial diffusion pattern of composite toponym data based on two kinds of time information needs further research.
