| The utilization of straw resources is an important development issue which we are facing in major grain producing areas.Since the new century,China’s grain output has achieved "twelve consecutive increases".However,with the continuous increase in grain output,a large number of straw resources have been burned or dumped.This will not only pollute the ecological environment,but also will fail to give full play to the economic value of straw resources.In recent years,the utilization of straw resources has become an important measure to change this situation.The utilization of straw resources can not only solve the problem of by-product utilization after grain production,but also increase farmers’ income and increase agricultural productivity.Therefore,research on the utilization of straw resources in the main grain production areas is not only helpful for grain production,but also of great significance for helping the construction of rural ecological civilization and creating ecologically livable conditions.The impact of farm household land management scale on straw resource utilization was the research goal of this paper.Firstly,based on the assumption that farmers were "rational economic man",this paper conducted a corresponding theoretical analysis on the utilization of straw resources on the scale of land management,and put forward a research hypothesis.Through literature research,field research and other methods,the cost and benefits of various corn straw disposal methods were analyzed.Additionally,based on the survey data collected at Gongzhuling City,Jilin Province,combined with the field survey data of 152 farmers in Gongzhuling City,a traditional grain-producing county in Jilin Province,an econometric model was established to examine the utilization of straw resources by the scale of farmers ’land management influences.Finally,from the perspective of land management scale,policy recommendations to improve the utilization of straw resources by farmers were put forward.The main conclusions of this paper were as follows:(1)Notwithstanding,Jilin Province had vast land,the problem of land fragmentation was prominent.Due to the restriction of land fragmentation,the total cultivated land area was inconsistent with the effect of the average cultivated land area.It failed to promote the utilization of straw resources by farmers,but the increase in the average block area can promote the utilization of straw by farmers.(2)The return of straw to the field was limited to a certain extent by the scale of planting,and the smaller planting area was not conducive to implementation of straw return to the field;(3)If the head of household was a full-time farmer,the tendency to adopt the behavior of straw resource utilization was more significant,and the professional acquisition point of straw,the related enterprises of straw resource utilization and the related subsidies for the utilization of straw resources had a significant influence on the farmers’ straw resource utilization behavior.According to the conclusion of this article,Jilin Province can start from the following aspects when promoting the utilization of straw resources in the future: Firstly,we should develop a contiguous scale of land management,improve the land use right transfer market,reduce the degree of land fragmentation,and promote the continuous operation of land guides for farmers to adopt straw resource utilization methods to improve agricultural production efficiency and form an appropriate economies of scale.Secondly,we should implement relevant subsidies for straw resource utilization according to the farmer’s land management scale.Thirdly,we should increase scientific research efforts,accelerate the development of related machinery and promote the use of straw by farmers with smaller land resources.Fourthly,we should improve the straw storage,storage and transportation system,and increase straw purchase points and straw-related enterprises. |
