Study Of Vegetable Production Efficiency And Influencing Factors In Hebei Province

All along,ensuring the supply safety of "rice bags" and "vegetable baskets" is an important guarantee for the daily life of the broad masses of our people,and is also an important link to ensure the stability of the domestic society and the international status.However,at the present stage,the problems of rural ecological environment pollution and natural resources shortage are becoming more and more serious.Under the background of the shortage of production factors and the restriction of ecological environment,the road of high quality development of vegetable industry in Hebei Province must be solved by improving the efficiency of vegetable production.Based on the concept of production efficiency and total factor productivity,this paper selects input and output data of vegetable production in Hebei province and other vegetable producing provinces(municipalities directly under the Central Government)from 2008 to 2018,and calculates and analyzes the total factor productivity of 23 vegetable producing provinces(municipalities directly under the Central Government)by using DEA-Malmquist index.At the basic changes of total factor productivity of vegetables in Hebei province,the efficiency model of non-radial improvement(SBM)based on relaxation variables was constructed and the efficiency of vegetable production and green production was calculated by using the input-output data of 23 main vegetable producing provinces(municipalities)from 2011 to 2018.Based on the measurement results of production efficiency and the economic reality of existing researchers and vegetable production efficiency,a data sample with vegetable production efficiency as the explained variable was constructed.After the stability,correlation,multiple collinearity and Hausman test of the data sample,a random effect Tobit panel regression model was constructed based on test characteristics.The results show that:(1)The total factor productivity of vegetable industry in Hebei Province is basically consistent with the change trend and horizontal level of green total factor productivity,which is higher than the national average,and technological progress is an important factor affecting the total factor productivity level;On the whole,the traditional TFP is higher than GTFP,but the loss of green total factor productivity,including non-expected output,is not obvious,which indicates that the production efficiency of vegetable industry in Hebei Province is in the middle and upper level in the whole country and the influence of production process on ecological environment is relatively small.(2)The green production efficiency of vegetables in Hebei Province is equal to 1 in most years,which is DEA effective and superior to the main vegetable producing provinces in Shandong and Henan as a whole.(3)Random effect Tobit panel regression shows that the increase of vegetable planting area as a proportion of total planting area will reduce the efficiency of vegetable production.Government policy support,the overall technical level of agriculture,the economic level of farmers and the education level of farmers have a positive effect on the growth of green production efficiency,that is,to a certain extent,strengthening policy support,raising mechanization level,increasing farmers' economic income and prolonging farmers' education years will promote the improvement of vegetable production efficiency.
