Vegetable industry is the pillar industry of agricultural economic development.Vegetable planting has played a positive role in increasing farmers’ income,meeting consumption demand and promoting employment.The gradual development of protected vegetables relying on modem science and technology contributes to the realization of agricultural modernization.Protected vegetable is an important part of modern agriculture because of its outstanding economic benefits,strong risk prevention ability,off-season vegetable supply and balanced agricultural trade.However,there are still some problems in the production of facility agriculture,such as unreasonable allocation of resources,excessive input of factors,low efficiency of technology and so on,which lead to the loss of ecological and economic benefits,low production efficiency,and cannot truly achieve the sustainable development of modern agriculture.Solanaceous vegetables are important protected vegetables in China,including tomatoes,eggplant and pepper,etc.Therefore,this paper uses the macro data of the main production areas of greenhouse solanaceous vegetables in China to study the production efficiency.The three-stage DEA model and DEA-Malmquist index method were used to analyze the production efficiency,external environmental factors and total factor productivity of greenhouse solanaceous vegetables,in order to improve the production of greenhouse solanaceous vegetables,improve the output efficiency,promote agricultural development and increase farmers’ income.The results of empirical analysis are as follows:First,the redundancy of input of elements needs to be reduced.The largest proportion of greenhouse tomato’ had radial adjustment,followed by greenhouse pepper and eggplant.The input factors have different degrees of relaxation,and the adjustment proportion of pesticide,machinery operation cost and chemical fertilizer is higher.Second,the production efficiency of protected eggplant fruit vegetables varies greatly from region to region,and the average efficiency of protected eggplant is the highest.The change trend of the average value of pure technical efficiency and comprehensive efficiency of the three solanaceous vegetables is consistent,and the improvement of technical efficiency is the key to improve the efficiency.Scale efficiency loss is widespread,especially in Sichuan,Anhui、Zhejiang and other places.Third,the external environment factors have an impact on the production efficiency,but the direction of influence is not consistent.After eliminating the environmental factors,the effciency value is generally improved.Among them.the higher the proportion of financial expenditure on agriculture,forestry and water affairs is,the lower the efficiency is,and the export of agricultural products has less impact on the production input.The Urbanization rate,proportion of vegetable planting area and per capita disposable income have different effects on input redundancy of three vegetable elements.Fourth,the overall level of total factor productivity of protected vegetables is good.Technological progress and technical efficien.cy are the main factors,followed by scale efficiency.From the perspective of time series,the total factor productivity of the three kinds of facility solanaceous vegetables showed a fluctuating downward trend from 2012 to 2018,and the efficiency value increased after adjustment,but the range was very small.From the perspective of space,Beijing,Tianjin,Jiangsu,Zhejiang,Shanghai and other economically developed areas have high efficiency and high level of technological progress,which jointly affect the comprehensive efficiency. |
