Lecidea belongs to Ascomycota,Lecanoromycetes,Lecideales, and Lecideaceae.Holotype: Lecidea fuscoatra.Lecidea is widely distributed in the world. The main characteristics are: thalluse crustose and endolithic, sometime squamulose;apothecial is black,Lecideine;asci is Lecidea-type,ascospores is simple, hyaline, hole free;almost exclusively on rock. For a long time, the classification of lichens in this genus is mainly based on morphological and chemical characteristics, and few studies on molecular systematics have been carried out. However, the net genus has a single inter-species defining characteristic, obvious similarity, and overlapping morphological characteristics between species. Therefore,it is very important to further study the phylogeny of this genus. This research is based on the study of morphology, anatomy, chemistry, geographical distribution and molecular systematics, combining its phenotype and genotype characteristics(LSU,ITS,etc.).The model specimens of the herbarium of the Conservatoire et Jardin botaniques de la Ville de Genève(G)are important references.More than three hundreds Lecidea collected from all over the country were deposited in the Herbarium of the Shandong Normal University(SDNU)and the herbarium of Kunming Institute of plant research,Chinese Academy of Sciences(KUN).In this study,18 species of lichens of the genus Lecidea were identified and 4new species were found and described.According to the model of digital Herbarium, the morphological, anatomical and chemical characteristics of each lichen are described in detail and recorded by high-resolution photography.According to the degree of diversity of each lichen phenotypic characteristic and the place of origin, samples were selected for DNA extraction and specific fragment amplification, and phylogenetic trees were established for phylogenetic analysis and species definition analysis. This study provides a scientific basis for clarifying the classification problems existing in the definition of lichen species, exploring the diversity and distribution characteristics of lichen species, establishing a more natural classificationsystem, and providing basic data for the compilation of lichen records of China.
