The study of the Lichen Genus Lecidea from Xinjiang are performed using morphology, anatomy, geography, chemical methods (color test, microcrystal test, thin-layer chromatography) and ecology, on the basis of identification of more than 500 specimens from 21 regions of Xinjiang. Especially the nature of the exciple ,ascus-structure, hamathecial tissues, ascospore, have played major roles in these taxonomy . During the study of the Lichen Genus Lecidea from Xinjiang , 25 species are founded by the author, among which 12 species new to China are reported :( Lecidea. confluens,L. ecrustacea,L. gyrizans,L. haerjedalica,L.hypnorum,L.mpavida,L. lactea,L. leucophaea,L.mannii, L. occidentalis, L. plebeja, L.polycarpella),and among which 5 species new to Xinjiang are reported: (L. albohyalina, L. cinnabarina, L. fuscoatra, L. lapicida, L .lithophila).Key to species of Lecidea from Xinjiang is given in the present thesis. The description of each species of the Genus Lecidea from Xinjiang are given and the characterized feature for some species are discussed as well. The geographical analysis is analyzed, and show that following seven element can be divided ,circumpolar element, 36%; north Atlantic Ocean element, 20%; east Asian-north American element, 4%; Mediterranean Sea element, 4%; north temperate zone elment , 8%; cosmopolitan element, 12%; species endemic to China, 16% . All of them are classified into 4 ecological types, earth-covered rocks, absolute predominance, 76%; bark and branch, 12%; decayed wood, 16%; mossy-land, 4%. Based on the geographical analysis and ecological types, we can draw a conclusion about theirs distribution laws .
