Ostroplean lichen (Ostropomycetidae) is classified under Lecanoromycetes, Ascomycota, Fungi. It comprises four classes: Agyriales, Baeomycetales, Ostropales, Pertusariales. And Ostropales includes 11 families, 131 genera and c. 2573 species. The thesis studies 3 families of Ostropales including 11 genera, which are Graphidaceae Dumort (Diorygma, Fissurina, Graphis, Hemithecium, Leiorreuma, Phaeographina, Phaeographis, Platygramme and Thecaria), Phlyctidaceae Poelt (Phlyctis) and Thelotremataceae Stizenb (Diploschiste)。The study is based on the specimens deposited in Lichen Section of Botanical Herbarium, Shandong Normal University (SDNU). More than 400 specimens are comprehensive studied with multiple methods involve morphology, anatomy, chemistry, geography. Chemistry study uses color reaction test (CT), Thin-Layer Chromatography (TLC) and Microcrystal Test (MCT). On the basis of the identification results of all specimens examined, 50 taxa are reported in the present thesis, of which 1 species are new to science and 8 species new to China. To our knowledge, this is a first special taxonomical and geological study on Ostroplean lichen from, and each taxon of all 50 taxa (49 species and 1 subspecies )presented in this thesis is described in detail and the related species are discussed. And keys to genera of the family and to species of genera from China are given. This thesis is the first primary research of Ostroplean lichen sistemly in China, reporting 46 genera of 4 family with species components, taxonomic charactericts, type genera, their research history and current situation. And it involves the worldwide species and distribution, with key to family and key to genera. The morphological photos of the thalli of all 50 taxa presented in this thesis are provided. The study enriched the distribution date of the the Ostroplean lichen of China and also provided basic data for Flora Lichens Sinicarum.
