In recent years, global manufacturing industry has been quietly changing.Developed countries want to restructure their manufacturing industries and achieve "reindustrialization" of their national economies;after a period of technology accumulation, developing countries hope to grasp the opportunity in the deconstruction and restructuring of manufacturing global value chain(GVC)which is driven by ICT(Information and Communication Technology). The competition of manufacturing industry in GVC mainly focuses on two aspects. On the one hand, they hope to consolidate their advantages by controlling global value chains;on the other hand, they hope to improve their ability to acquire value added through the transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry. With the international division of labor and trade in intermediate products continue to expand, the impact of ICT on a country’s manufacturing industry embedded in GVC is becoming more and more obvious. The impact is not only reflected in the rising position of manufacturing in GVC,but also in the improvement of manufacturing value-added capacity. The influence of ICT on manufacturing industry includes product design and production, enterprise governance and supply chain management. The key to promote manufacturing enterprises to make full use of ICT lies in the integrated of ICT industry and manufacturing industry.Industrial integration plays a limited role in enhancing the value-added capacity of manufacturing enterprises in the upstream of GVC,but has a greater impact on manufacturing enterprises in the downstream of GVC.This is because manufacturing enterprises at different positions in the GVC have different ways to enhance their value-added capacity, which leads to different roles of industrial integration.Among the other factors that affect the GVC of manufacturing industry and its value-added capacity, the industrial structure and foreign direct investment(FDI)deserve more attention. The adjustment of industrial structure is mainly manifested as"deindustrialization",which reduces the proportion of manufacturing industry in national economy.Although this process can promote the position rise of manufacturing industry in the GVC and increase its value-added capacity,it is necessary to guard against the excessive dependence of manufacturing industry on global value chain caused by "deindustrialization".FDI can’t effectively promote the position rise of manufacturing industry in the GVC and is not conducive to the improvement of the value-added capacity of downstream manufacturing enterprises.Reliance on the GVC and inefficient use of FDI are the reasons why a country’s manufacturing sector is stuck in a "low-end lock".The innovation of this paper is mainly reflected in two aspects:First of all, different from most scholars who only focus on the development of China’s industrialintegration, this paper selects the entire manufacturing industry of 37 countries as the research sample,so a more general conclusion can be drawn.Secondly, for the location parameter model of the GVC,select the dynamic panel model that can better reflect the dynamic correlation of manufacturing global value chain location parameters. It can better depicts the deconstruction and reorganization of manufacturing GVC driven by industrial integration and reflect the importance of industry integration.
