The Wuyuezhai National Forest Park is a representative forest landscape at the eastern foot of Taihang mountain,which is rich in biological resources.However,the background of insect species resources is unclear,so far there is no relatively complete record of insect species diversity,thus directly affecting people's understanding and understanding of the biological resources integrity of the reserve.To this end,we conducted a study on the insect species diversity of the forest park in 2016 to 2017 with the support of the census of forest pests project of Hebei province.The results are briefly summarized as follows:(1)Composition of insect species diversityIn this survey more than 20,000 insect specimens were collected.They are belonged to 16 orders 182 families 993 genera and 1410 species which obtained also by consulting the literature and searching the specimens collected in the Museum of Hebei University.The species diversity of 3 orders of insects is as high as 1109 species,accounting for 78.37%,which are 610 species of Lepidoptera(43.26%),301 species of Coleoptera(21.35%)and 194 species of Diptera(13.76%).In terms of species number,the top three families are Noctuidae 153 species(10.85%),Geometridae 79 species(5.60%)and Crambidae 56 species(3.97%).According to the composition of genera ranks,single species accounts for the largest proportion.(2)constitution of insect faunaIn the world zoogeographic division of Wuyuezhai insects,Sino-Japanese,Palaearctic and Oriental have the most components,accounting for 39.43%;the second is Sino-Japanese and Palaearctic,accounting for 26.10%;the third is Sino-Japanese and Sino-Japanese + Oriental,accounting for 11.91% and 10.78%,respectively.The total species of these four distribution types is 1244,accounting for 88.23% of the total distribution types in the region.In the China zoogeographic division,the highest proportion of insect faunal components in Wuyuezhai is North China,which has 126 species(8.94%);the second is Allover China contained 120 species(8.51%)and the third is Mongolo-Xinjiang + Northeast + North China contained 106 species(7.52%).There are 352 species of these three distributions,accounting for 24.96% of the total species.Compared with the number of insect species recorded in nature reserves or forest parks in Hebei Province,the number of insect species in Wuyuezhai is second only to Wuling Mountain and Xiaowutai Mountain,which reflects the species richness of Taihang Mountain Province to a certain extent where Wuyuezhai is located.(3)Quantity dynamics and diversity of beetlesThe species diversity of beetles in Wuyuezhai National Forest Park from May to August 2016 was investigated.A total of 1828 beetles were collected,belonging to 40 families 194 genera and 271 species.In terms of species number,the most abundant families are Cerambycidae(35 species,12.92%),Carabidae(31 species,11.44%)and Cerambycidae(23 species,8.49%).In terms of the beetle numbers,The largest number of individuals is Coccinellidae had 376 individuals(20.57%),followed by Chrysomelidae had 365 individuals(19.97%)and Carabidae 150 individuals(8.21%).The dominant species in the whole year is Harmonia axyridis(Pallas,1773).The order of species diversity index in different months is July > August > June > May,and the diversity index is consistent with the evenness index,indicating that the beetle ecological community in this area is relatively stable.The species diversity index of 1000-1500 m above sea level is the highest.Because there are fewer species,the trend of diversity index and evenness index at different altitudes is irrelevant.(4)Insect resourcesThere are roughly seven types of insect resources in Wuyuezhai National Forest Park,which are pollinating insects,natural enemies,edible insects,medicinal insects,ornamental insects,clean insects and environmental protection insects.Preliminary suggestions on the protection and utilization of these insect resources were presented.
