The natural capital stock of regional land is an important criterion to measure the sustainable development of the region.Xianyang City is currently in a period of rapid urbanization.Under the background of vigorous national development and construction,it is worth thinking deeply whether the land resources and ecological environment of Xianyang City can bear such rapid urban development and great changes in land use structure. It is of great guiding significance to study the natural capital of land for ensuring the sustainable development of urban economy in Xianyang City.Based on the relevant theory of land natural capital accounting, the three-dimensional ecological footprint model is improved, the land use types in the model are adjusted, and the ecological footprint model is optimized by combining the "provincial hectare" and "municipal hectare" methods. The temporal and spatial changes of land natural capital utilization in Xianyang City and its counties from 2009 to 2016 are analyzed, and the decoupling model is used to explore salty soil. The relationship between land ecological footprint and economic growth in cities and counties is analyzed.Based on the analysis results, the existing problems of land natural capital utilization in Xianyang City are found, and the corresponding optimization path is put forward. The main conclusions are as follows:(1)The three-dimensional ecological footprint model is improved, and the equilibrium factor and yield factor are recalculated by using the method of combining "provincial hectare" and "municipal hectare".According to the actual situation of the region, the types of Eco-productive land in the ecological footprint model are adjusted to make the calculation results realistic.(2)In terms of time, the per capita ecological footprint of Xianyang City has increased year by year, from land surplus to land deficit.Structurally, cultivated land and garden land dominate the ecological footprint of per capita land.Spatially, the per capita ecological footprint space is larger in the East and smaller in the west;the per capita land ecological carrying capacity changes show a distribution of "high center, low around";and the footprint depth shows a pattern of "high southeast and low northwest" centered on the main urban area.(3)There is a weak decoupling between land ecological footprint and economic growth in Xianyang counties(districts).However,since2014,the negative decoupling phenomenon has increased, and the economic situation is not optimistic. It is necessary to enhance the intensive use of land natural capital to promote economic development.(4)Improving the use of land natural capital from two aspects:reasonably controlling the growth of land ecological footprint and improving the ecological carrying capacity of land.In addition,it is necessary to promote resource saving and consumption, improve the efficiency of resource utilization, rationally allocate various resources and promote the sustainable development of social economy.
