Collapse is a common type of geological hazards,and widely distributed in the western of China,as a natural phenomenon in mountainy,it is the avalanche,rolling and accumulation in the slope toe or valley of the rock-soil body which on the slope and break away from the matrix by the gravity.It happens frequently every year in the mountainy of China.The disaster happens suddenly,because of its high potential energy,the caving body has a high instantaneous speed and cause a big kinetic energy.And it can be very destructive to the infrastructures which on the rolling path such as villages and roads,has a high perniciousness and dangerousness.Therefore,the research of collapse has a profound significance.The research subject of this paper is the collapse hazard of Xiaotianshe,Yinping village,Longtoushan town,ludian county.The geological hazard of high potential energy collapse is studied by field survey,surveying and mapping,pit exploration and laboratory experiment.We ascertained the distribution range,feature and formation of the collapse;And made a analysis of the topography,meteorology,and the affect of earthquake of the collapse.The stability,motion distance,velocity,prance and impact energy of collapsed rock are calculated.The study showed that the type of the collapse of Xiaotianshe is a high potential rock collapse,which is in the developmental stage and is greatly affected by the earthquake,with a high susceptibility and dangerousness.On this basis,according to the development characteristics of the collapse and the engineering geographical conditions in the area,we proposed a curative measures which put prevention first and combine the removing dangerous and obstruction,and the partial anchoring.The practice shows the prevention and control measures made a significant effect.And the developmental characteristics and prevention and control measures of the collapse in the earthquake area are summarized,which provides a reference for other similar work.
